Inspired
An Inspired Sim
- Not to be confused with Inspiration.
Inspired is an emotion available in The Sims 4. It occurs when a Sim engages in creative activities. This emotion can evolve into very inspired. It can also be obtained from singing in the shower. This emotion boosts activities such as playing music, painting, writing, cooking, and more.
Interactions and Activities[]
Sims will only have a chance to use these interactions and do these activities while Inspired.

- Talk about Dreams
- Serenade
- Describe New Idea
- Propose Crazy Scheme
Activities[]
- Look into the stars or clouds (self interaction)
Wants[]
An inspired Sim may get a whim to do one of the above interactions or take one of the above actions, or an inspired Sim may get one of the following whims:
- Buy a bar
- Buy a musical instrument
- Travel to the Museum
- Talk about Dreams with Someone
- Buy an Easel
Supportive Traits and Events[]
These traits affect how often a Sim is inspired.
- Creative
- Gloomy Sims will be inspired when interacting with ghosts
- Art Lovers will be inspired when admiring art
- Bookworms will be inspired when analyzing a book
- Music Lovers will be inspired when listening deeply to music
- Snobs will be inspired when in a 'satisfyingly decorated' room
- Green fiend Sims will be inspired when performing green activities, such as gardening[TS4:EL]
- Adventurous Sims will be inspired when eating high-end meals[TS4:SE]
- Child of the village Sims will be inspired when releasing a sky lantern[TS4:FR]
These events may lead to an inspired moodlet:
- Painting at poor or normal quality
- Taking a thoughtful shower
- Singing in a shower (requires level 2 Singing skill) [TS4:CL]
- Swimming at the ocean in Sulani [TS4:IL]
- Spellcaster charge at Charged state [TS4:ROM]
- Having guest lectures in universities [TS4:DU]
- Tinkering at the robotics workstation [TS4:DU]
- Learning about the simulation (usually done by a random call from other Sims; positive outcome) [TS4:EL]
- Experiencing snowy thunderstorms [TS4:SE]
- Giving speeches during wedding events [TS4:MWS]
- Swimming at the ocean in Tartosa [TS4:MWS]
- Earned a lot of followers on Trendi [TS4:HSY]
- Partaking the Pet Adoption Drive event as a Tenant [TS4:FR][TS4:C&D]

Object Auras[]
These are items found, bought, or earned in the game that can emit an inspiring aura in the area around the object. Players can choose to enable or disable the aura at any time. Once enabled, a Sim can interact with the object, through viewing or using it, and they will earn an inspired moodlet. Whether their mood changes to inspired or not depends on the other moodlets affecting the Sim at that time.

Careers and Jobs[]
Sims with these jobs or careers will gain work performance if they go to work while inspired.
Trivia[]
- Internally, Very Inspired is referred to as "Imaginative".
- Using a laser pointer while Inspired will make the light match the emotion's color and take on the shape of a butterfly.
- When Cross-stitching with a Sim, their action icon will be highlighted when Inspired. However, if a Sim is in a Focused mood the skill bar above a Sims head will highlight instead. This may be a glitch as it seems Inspired Sims gain skill faster in Cross-stitch.
Description (Look)[]
An inspired sim looks like a happy person, putting a finger near their mouth as a sign of think. A very inspired sim from afar may look like crying from happiness, but the Sim is not really crying.
