Hot tubs were reintroduced in ''[[The Sims 4: Perfect Patio Stuff]]'' as the '''Pringo's Heater Hot Tub''' and the '''Left of Center Hot Tub'''. Two different designs are available for each tub. Both tubs have a size of 3x3 tiles. [[The Sims 4/Patch 92|Patch 92]] added a hot tub to the base game, known as the '''Birthday Hot Tub'''. It has a size of 4x4 tiles.

For the first time in the series, [[child]]ren can enter hot tubs. Like previous games in the series, Sims inside the tub will chat with each other. Sims can also WooHoo and skinny dip inside the tub. Up to eight Sims can use a hot tub at the same time.

===Upgrade list===
Sims with the handiness skill can upgrade the hot tub to have an aromatherapy filter and a stereo.

Upgrading the hot tub with a high handiness skill unlocks several upgrade options, including the "Unbreakable" upgrade.

*Unbreakable Upgrade (Level 8 Handiness).

==Glitches/Notes==
*A hot tub can be obtained by unlocking it from [[TheSims3.com]] by posting a certain number of memories.
*It is possible to skinny dip with a [[Teen]] or younger Sim on a lot by making those Sims leave the house, telling the adults to skinny dip and then having those Sims return. The Sims will continue to skinny dip but they cannot be commanded to skinny dip again.{{confirm}}
*In ''The Sims 3'' if a Sim is equipped with a portable stereo (for example the [[LoFi Audio|Audio Lite by LoFi Audio]] or the [[Stereo|Slim Digital Stereo by McKible Technologies]]) the Sim will automatically place the stereo on one of the slots of the hot tub. This allows for music to be played while Sims go hot tubbing.
*When a hot tub breaks down in ''The Sims'' it empties; in ''The Sims 3'', the water turns green; and in ''The Sims 4'', the water bubbles, produces smoke and turns brown.
