Game The Sims 2
Playability Deceased
Neighborhood Veronaville

Hero Monty (née Arlecchino) is one of the pre-made, yet unplayable deceased ancestral Sim who resided during her lifetime in Veronaville, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. She was the wife of Antonio and mother of twins Benedick and Beatrice.

Hero potty trained Beatrice and taught her how to talk. She also taught Benedick how to walk. According to the memories of her immediate family members, Hero died not long after Benedick and Beatrice aged into children. She is most likely the last Sim who died in Veronaville before the start of the game, which can be seen when comparing Romeo and Juliette Capp's memories.

Originally, Hero might have been playable as she has grandparents in her family tree and her parents died as adults like deceased parents of every living Veronaville Sim, with the exception of Contessa Capp who died as an elder. Also, her nephews Mercutio and Romeo recognize her as their aunt which is impossible without editing as she is a relative by marriage, and this only happens (with the exception of Olivia Monty and Caliban Capp) among living pre-made Sims. She was also one of the first Sims to be created in Veronaville.[1] It is also hinted in the family bio along with her husband and son's bios that she might have been a casualty in the feud between the Capps and Montys.

There is no ghost of her to see her cause of death, and she cannot be resurrected without the use of SimPE because her gravestone is not in Veronaville and her character file is incomplete. However, she is easy to recreate as she uses the 14th face template with no modifications to it.

Hero falls in love with Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing. She is wronged by Don John and Borachio, and is abandoned at the altar by Claudio; she fakes her death until her name is cleared.

  1. Her NID indicates that she was the thirteenth Sim made in Veronaville. During development, living Sims were usually created first, and deceased Sims were added afterwards.
