Hermia Capp is a pre-made playable teen Sim residing in Veronaville, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. She lives with her older siblings, Juliette and Tybalt, and her grandfather, Consort. She is the third child and second daughter of Caliban and Cordelia, and the granddaughter of Consort and Contessa. Her cousins are Miranda, Hal, Desdemona and Ariel. Hermia has crushes on both Mercutio Monty and Puck Summerdream and vice versa, but she's more interested in Puck; she wants her "first kiss" to be with him, and wants to "go steady" with him. When first played, she is 12 days from becoming an adult. She is voiced by Thessaly Lerner; when she becomes an adult, she will be voiced by Gerri Lawlor.
Despite her biography implying that Hermia doesn't seem to get on with Tybalt, they have a good relationship at the start of the game. She seems to be a rebel because she is wearing a purple top with chained laces, with baggy jeans rolled up to show her motor boots. Hermia and Miranda are the only teens of their family not to be involved in the feud with the Montys.
Hermia has a quite balanced personality, even though she's shy. She is mostly interested in Politics and Environment; she dislikes Money, Health and Paranormal. Even though Hermia has red hair, her natural hair color is blonde. This can be proven by examining her SimDNA with SimPE. If FreeTime is installed, her predestined hobby will be film and literature.
Interestingly, in an earlier version of Cornwall's bio, Hermia is stated to be his daughter. It appears as if the developers had very different plans for both the Capp and Monty families (specifically with the teens) early on in Veronaville's development. It also appears as if she was originally created alongside Cornwall and Regan, as her character file immediately follows theirs. This might explain why her hair is naturally blonde, as neither Regan nor Cornwall have red hair. Why the developers didn't bother to change her genetics is unknown.
Strangely, if Hermia's appearance is extracted with SimPE to Body Shop, she will be thin instead of fit. The reason for this is because she has the fitness texture for thin Sims instead of the one for fit Sims. This will become more apparent when she grows into an adult.
This implies that she was originally thin and her fitness level was subsequently modified with a program like SimPE. The only way for her to have the fitness texture for fit Sims without hacks is by having her overeat until she becomes thin, and then have her workout until she is fit again. This also happens with many other pre-made Sims in The Sims 2.
