Herb Oldie is the elderly, yet outgoing, adoptive father of Mary-Sue Pleasant. He and his wife Coral (also an elder) are available in the Pleasantview family bin to be played. When the family is first moved onto a lot, he is three days into his elder stage.
Despite being a Romance Sim, he has been happily married to Coral most of his life without ever committing infidelities. Interestingly, it would appear that he quit or was fired from his job as a businessman as opposed to retiring, however if you make him try to join the business career he can start off at level 6, Senior Manager. He and Coral, along with Olive Specter, are the only living pre-made Sims in the base game that don't have grandparents.
According to his genetics (as viewed using SimPE) Herb has naturally red hair, as does his wife.
Family Life
Herb is the son of Myron and Irma Oldie, who are both deceased before the start of The Sims 2 's storyline. Herb married Coral, and they are parents to Mary-Sue, who they adopted when she was a toddler. Hie Memories say that he and Carol had Woo Hoo before they adopted Mary-Sue meaning they could of been infertile.
Mary-Sue was Herb's only child, and she went on to marry Daniel Pleasant. The couple had twin daughters, Angela and Lilith together.
