A haunted house is a rabbit hole in The Sims 3: Seasons. It is typically associated with fall festivals.
Children and older can enter the haunted house to test their bravery. Before entering, coward and childish Sims may react hesitantly. Sims will spend 10 minutes inside the haunted house and then exit. Upon exiting, Sims might vomit, pee self, panic, or just shiver. Coward Sims are more likely to vomit, pee self, or panic instead of just shivering, while brave Sims will just shrug.
If the haunted house is located on a festival lot assignment, Sims will receive 5 festival tickets after entering the haunted house. There's a 5% chance Sims will also receive Cracklin Nackerbell magic gnome. There's also a chance Sims might get none or one of the following moodlets:
- Haunted
- Attacked by the Mummy
- Brushed with Zombie Fingers
- Sucked into the 4th Dimension
- Touched by a Ghost
- Cursed by a Witch (Sim will become a ghost for 3 hours)
It is the only known rabbit hole that can be placed on residential lots, even if it's pretty difficult to do so. A household must amass 100 festival tickets, and then buy The Scary Shack from a food stand during fall.
