The Girard family is a pre-made family from Mesa Flats, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Pet Stories. The family consists of Damien Girard and Celeste Girard. Celeste is the cousin of Stephen Loyal and owned a cat named Diva, before she joins the Loyal family instead. While abroad, Celeste met Damien, who knew she was the one for him. After he came all the way to Mesa Flats and knocked on her door, he convinced her that the reverse was also true and the two have been inseparable ever since.
At the beginning of the Midnight Masquerade story, Celeste and Damien get married and go on their honeymoon. They don't appear in the story again.
The family is living at 52 Newland Avenue at the start of the story, and the home is fully furnished. The family is unplayable, however, as Damien and Celeste don't return from their honeymoon after the story ends. Both Damien and Celeste are deleted by the game and the home's furniture is sold. This can be seen by importing the untouched neighborhood from a fresh installation into The Sims 2.

- In her last email, Celeste writes that she and Damien went on a cruise. This might have accually been the Queen Solomon cruise ship of the Shipwrecked and Single story from The Sims Castaway Stories, which crashes and eventually sinks. If this were the case, Celeste and Damien must have been deceased, since they don't appear in the game's story as survivors. Which would explain why they never get back.
