Walkthrough for The Sims 2 (console).

The player progresses through the game by fulfilling the characters' wants at each location. Fulfilling their platinum want unlocks a new site.

Rockwell Acres

Rockwell Acres is a tutorial and introduces the player to wants and how to fulfill them. By fulfilling all of the player's Gold and Platinum wants Shoreline Trails will be unlocked.

Player's Wants

	Take out Trash	How could any Sim live in this filth? A clean space makes all the Sims happier	+50
	Buy a Single Bed Worth at Least §50	A Sim needs somewhere to sleep!	+100	Go to the Buy Catalog and purchase any single bed under the Seating & Beds tab. Unlocks Shoreline Trails.
	Visit a Different Location	A big Sim in a small pond needs to explore the world sometimes.	+100	Use the Call Box in front of the house to call a taxi.

By fulfilling all of the player's Gold and Platinum wants the Cliffside Retreat will be unlocked.

	Go to Work in (Chosen Career)	The best way to make simoleons is to go to work in a good mood.	+70	Go to Career, Skills, & Personality in the menu to check the work hours. The carpool will arrive 75 minutes before work.
	Gain a Skill Point	To gain promotions and be successful, Sims need high skills.	+100	Use the bookshelf, chess table, or exercise bench to learn a new skill or purchase a new skill object in the Buy Catalog.
	Buy an Object	Sims have needs that only Simoleons can fulfill.	+100	Purchase any object in the Buy Catalog.
	Become Enemies With Torin	Torin is a mean and nasty Sim.	+300	Run over to Torin Namaste and socialize with them. Bring relationship points down to -11 or lower.
	Reach Body Skill Level 3	Higher skills can allow Sims to use objects in new and exciting ways.	+140	Locate the exercise bench at the back of the house and do some light weightlifting.
	Perform Surf Trick	That surfing simulator looks cool.	+120	Next to the exercise bench is a surfing simulator, hop on the wave machine by selecting 'Surf'. A low Energy need will decrease the chances of successfully performing a trick.
	Change Clothes	These threads are getting stale. Look for a wardrobe.	+200	Find a wardrobe in one of the bedrooms and select 'Change Clothes'. Hint: You don't have to change clothes. Enter and exit the Fashion menu is all that's needed.
	Become Friends with Timmy	Torin may always be mean to him but Timmy is actually a nice guy.	+300	Run over to Timmy Tool and socialize with them. Bring relationship points up to a 40 or higher.
	Reach Career Level 2 in any Career	More skill, more Simoleons, more excitement.	+200	Check skill and friend requirements in the Career menu to make sure everything is set for a promotion.
	Beat Torin at Foosball.	If you teach him a lesson, he will give you directions to the Cliffside Retreat.	+600	Purchase a Tournament Foosball Table from the Buy Catalog under the Miscellaneous tab. Select 'Practice Foosball' then call over Torin to challenge him. Torin has 2 Body skills, so if the challenger also has 2 then the chances are 50/50. The possibility of winning increases by 5% depending on the Sims Body skill. Get more Body skill to increase the odds. Unlocks Cliffside Retreat
	Visit a Different Location	A big Sim in a small pond needs to explore the world sometimes.	+100	Use the Call Box in front of the house to call a taxi.

Cliffside Retreat

By fulfilling all of Isabella Monty's and the player's Gold and Platinum wants the HMS Amore will be unlocked.

	Buy a Fire Extinguisher	Kitchens can be fire prone, especially when inexperienced chefs are involved.	+100	Purchase the Snuffit Fire Destroyer in the Buy Catalog under the Appliances tab.
	Build Walls	And not just walls, fences too. Let's start redecorating!	+100	Build any number of walls in the Build Catalog.
	Reach Level 4 in any Career	There are new uniforms and new vehicles as rewards for hardworking Sims.	+200	Check skill and friend requirements in the Career menu to make sure everything is set for a promotion.
	Help Isabella	Fulfill her dream of redesigning Cliffside Retreat and making delicious meals. Switch to her and complete her gold wants!	+500	Switch control over Isabella and complete all of her Gold wants. Unlocks HMS Amore

	Harvest Squid	Sea food is hot amongst the Sim community right now. Remember to keep the aquarium clean.	+90	Locate the aquarium in the living room and select 'Harvest Seafood'.
	Make a Sandwich	Nothing like freshly baked bread, better use some dough. Check your recipe book for details!	+120	Head to the fridge and select 'Get Ingredients'. From this menu the recipe book can be selected. Open it to view the sandwich recipe.
	Become Friends with Patrizio	It's time for Isabella to make peace with the bed and breakfast's financier, Patrizio.	+300	Run over to Patrizio Monty and socialize with him. Bring relationship points up to a 40 or higher.
	Buy Ingredient Source	Isabella wants to continue their culinary experiments!	+100	Purchase either the "Frood" Tree, "Manila 1000" Marine Aquarium, or the GenoLife Garden Hutch in the Buy Catalog under the Miscellaneous tab.
	Create a Group Meal	Cooking can be a rewarding activity, especially when a Sim makes enough for everyone.	+200	Head to the fridge and select 'Get Group Meal Ingredients'. Make any recipe or something creative.
	Give Food to Patrizio	Sims will accept food based on their relationship and personal tastes.	+100	Grab a serving of the group meal that was just made and give it to Patrizio.

HMS Amore

By fulfilling Betty Buttercup's and the player's Gold and Platinum wants, Sunset Canyon will be unlocked. Hector Fromagero also resides here, by fulfilling his Gold wants the bonus location Mesa Gallery will be unlocked.

	Buy a Blender	A blender can help Sims make more elaborate meals.	+100	Purchase either the LiquiTonic or Multiquick Blender in the Buy Catalog under the Appliances tab.

	Become Friends with Nelson	Every romance must start somewhere.	+300	Run over to Nelson Longfellow and socialize with them. Bring relationship points up to a 40 or higher.
	Gain a Skill point in Body	Certain objects will increase a Sim's skills. Don't get frustrated, learning takes time.	+100	This place doesn't own an object that increases the Body skill. Purchase an Exerto Self-Spot Exercise Machine in the Buy Catalog under the Skills tab.
	Make meal with Aphrodesiac effect	The way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Try carrot, lime and passionfruit for ingredients!	+500	If a passionfruit wasn't collected from the Cliffside Retreat garden, then a simple recipe using carrot, lime and sourdough can be used to make some bread, a casserole or a jam & veggie sandwich.
	Give food to Nelson	Sims will accept food based on their relationship and personal tastes.	+100	Head over to Nelson and give him the Aphrodisiac meal that was just prepared.
	Gain Charisma point	Nothing like a little Charisma to improve the odds.	+100	Use the mirror that was bought earlier to gain another Charisma skill point.
	Buy a Painting	Surely that would help set the mood.	+100	Purchase any painting in the Buy Catalog under the Decorative tab.
	Use 'Make Out' Social on Nelson	It's time to make a move!	+120	Run over to Nelson and socialize with him once again. Bring relationship points up to 75 or higher using romantic interactions to become lovers, then use the 'Make Out' interaction.
	Marry Nelson	To marry another Sim just propose to them!	+300	Socialize with Nelson and 'Propose' to him.

Hector's Wants

	Play Spin the Bottle	It may sound a little juvenile but so is Hector. He must play and he must play now!	+180	Purchase the Spin the Bottle in the Buy Catalog under the Miscellaneous tab. 9,200 aspiration points is needed to unlock this object. Once purchased, select 'Play'.
	Woohoo with a Sim	All passions must reach a crescendo! Hector wants to head for the bedroom.	+200	Head over to one of the Vibromatic Heart Beds in the back bedrooms and have Hector relax in it. Use 'Call Over..." to invite the Sim Hector had just used 'Make Out' with earlier. Then, select 'WooHoo'.
	Use 'Make Out' Social on 3 Sims	Why settle for one Sim when there are so many on the boat?	+200	Socialize with anyone Hector hasn't been romantic with yet. Bring relationship points up to 75 or higher using romantic interactions to become lovers, then use the 'Make Out' interaction. Repeat this a third time.
	Get two Sims in a Hot Tub	Sims love hot tubs. Get a couple in one and see what happens.	+150	Head to one of the Love Tubs on the front deck. Relax in it then use 'Ask To Join...' to invite a Sim over.
	WooHoo with 3 Sims!	Hector cannot be tied down!	+400	Head over to one of the Vibromatic Heart Beds in the back bedrooms once again and have Hector relax in it. Use 'Call Over..." to invite a Sim that Hector has not already done WooHoo with. Repeat this with a third Sim.

Sunset Canyon

By fulfilling Red S. Hirt's and the player's Gold and Platinum wants, Tranquility Falls will be unlocked. Billy Specter also resides here, by fulfilling his Gold wants the bonus location The Orbit Room will be unlocked.

Tranquility Falls

By fulfilling Chantal Leer's and the player's Gold and Platinum wants the Alien Crash Site will be unlocked. Larry Liu also resides here, by fulfilling his Gold wants the bonus location Jugen House will be unlocked.

By fulfilling XY-XY Smith's and the player's Gold and Platinum wants the Bio Dome will be unlocked. XHT-F Smith also resides here, by fulfilling her Gold wants the bonus location Andromeda Arms will be unlocked.

	Get a Promotion	Improving a Sim's skills and relationships will lubricate the wheels of progress.	+150	Check skill and friend requirements in the menu to make sure everything is set for a promotion.
	Buy a Rug	There's nothing less fashionable than bare floor.	+100	Purchase any rug in the Buy Catalog under the Decorative tab. Unlocks Andromeda Arms.

Bio Dome

By fulfilling Noel Howard's and the player's Gold and Platinum wants the final cut-scene of the game will be unlocked. You can continue playing afterwards. Jessica Jones also resides here, fulfilling her wants doesn't unlock anything, but it does count towards your progress for 'Sims Helped' if you're striving to 100% the game.

Mesa Gallery

Mesa Gallery is unlocked by doing Hector Fromagero's Gold wants at HMS Amore. Jasmine Yves has Gold wants here, but fulfilling them doesn't unlock anything. Although, it does count towards the achievement for 'Sims Helped' to 100% complete the game.

Jasmine Yves's Wants

	Paint a Picture	Before Jasmine can organize a community of artists, she's got to be an artist herself.	+150	Head over to the back building and paint a picture on an easel.
	Sell a Great Painting	Jasmine may dislike the commoditization of art, but she needs to get her work noticed.	+300	To produce a great painting a Sim must have 9 Creativity skill points, but Jasmine only has 8. Head back over to the back building and paint a picture on an easel to increase her skill. Once she has 9 Creativity points paint a new picture and sell it.
	Reach Level 5 in Art Career	Jasmine needs her own studio before Sims will start taking her ideas seriously.	+200	Jasmine is already level 4, she's not too far behind in terms of requirements. Help her move up in the Art career.
	Write a Blog	What's the fastest way for Jasmine to spread her idea to as many Sims as possible, using the least amount of effort? The internet of course!	+300	This place doesn't own a computer. Purchase a computer in the Buy Catalog under the Electronics tab. Then, use it to write a blog.
	Get 6 Friends	Organizing over the internet isn't enough, Sims are content to sit at their computers and make snide, anonomous comments. Jasmine will have to grow her social network the old fashioned way.	+500	Jasmine already has a couple friends. Go around and socialize to get at least 40 relationship points with 4 others.
	Have at least §10,000	Building a stable economy made entirely of starving artists is more difficult than Jasmine imagined. She's going to need some cash!	+500	Go to work to earn simoleons until the family funds has reached §10,000.
	Buy a Sculpture	Now that Jasmine has enough simoleons to fund her alternative, utopian vision (at least for a few days), it's time to start decorating.	+100	Purchase any sculpture in the Buy Catalog under the Decorative tab.
	Buy a Painting worth at least §500	Don't deny a Sim the finer things in life.	+150	Purchase any painting worth at least §500 in the Buy Catalog under the Decorative tab.
	Throw a Party	Now that everything is set up the only things missing from this party are Sims!	+150	This place doesn't own a phone. Purchase a phone in the Buy Catalog under the Electronics tab. Then, select 'Throw Party'. Make sure it's not too late in the night!
	Wear a Costume	Jasmine wants to let loose her inner party spirit, and wear something out of the costume trunk... or nothing at all!	+200	Purchase a Pathologie Costume Trunk in the Buy Catalog under the Miscellaneous tab. Then, select any costume.
	Get Four Sims Dancing	Play the right music and all Sims will cast aside their chains and dance.	+300	Head over to the stereo in the back building and select 'Play Music', then 'Dance'. Switch to other Sims and have them join.
	Play Spin the Bottle	Jasmine has the urge to play kissing games.	+180	Purchase the Spin the Bottle in the Buy Catalog under the Miscellaneous tab. Then, select 'Play'.
	Have 3 Lovers	Jasmine feels confined by the social construct of monogamy.	+500	Socialize with 3 different Sims and get at least 75 relationship points with each by doing flirty interactions to become lovers. Be careful about getting caught.

The Orbit Room

The Orbit Room is unlocked by doing Billy Specter's Gold wants at Sunset Canyon. Phil Phantasm has Gold wants here, but fulfilling them doesn't unlock anything. Although, it does count towards the achievement for 'Sims Helped' to 100% complete the game.

	Buy a Computer worth over §2,000	Phil will need a nice setup to digitally add lip-syncing, pitch-correction, and uh... talent, if he wants to see his music videos on SimTV.	+150	Purchase an expensive computer worth at least §2,000 in the Buy Catalog under the Electronics tab.
	Buy a Metal Detector	What better tool to allow Phil to look through all the "false metal" bands and find the next impaled Celtic Moon Funeral Throne Lords...of Death	+100	Purchase the Metal Detector in the Buy Catalog under the Electronics tab.
	Reach career level 6 in the Business career	More skill, more Simoleons, more excitement.	+200	Despite being an Executive at level 5, Phil is quite behind in terms of requirements. Help him move up in his Business career.
	Buy an Arcade Game	A retro arcade game should provide Phil with the inspiraitonal mix of nostalgia and electronic music that are all the rage these days.	+100	Purchase any Arcade Game in the Buy Catalog under the Electronics tab.
	Throw a Party	Industry parties are the best way to maintain and expand your social network.	+150	Head over to the phone and throw a party, but make sure it's not too late in the night.
	Dance	Sometimes a Sim needs to have some fun.	+100	Go to the stereo or DJ Booth and have a dance.
	Master the Business career	Every Sim wants to be the boss eventually.	+2000	Phil wants to go for it and master his career. He's quite a few promotions away since he's only a Senior Manager level 6. He'll need a few friends and skills. Help him move up in his Business career.

Jugen House

The Jugen House is unlocked by doing Larry Liu's Gold wants at Tranquility Falls. Toothless Joe has Gold wants here, but fulfilling them doesn't unlock anything. Although, it does count towards the achievement for 'Sims Helped' to 100% complete the game.

Andromeda Arms is unlocked by doing XHT-F Smith's Gold wants at the Alien Crash Site. John Gray has Gold wants here, but fulfilling them doesn't unlock anything. Although, it does count towards your progress for 'Sims Helped' if you're striving to 100% the game.
