The debugger was designed to fix several in-game issues as well as provide many methods of fixing or reducing [[Game guide:Avoiding corruption|corruption]], as well as the correct way to [[Game guide:How to delete a Sim correctly|delete Sims]]. The options, however, can confuse newbies, and not all of them are described in the lack of documentation.
