Gabby the Mime is an NPC in The Sims: House Party. He will only show up whenever a Sim throws a bad party, acting as the party equivalent of the Tragic Clown. While he is present on the lot, he will perform various gestures and poses - evocative of mime arts that perform a story without objects or speech - in order to entertain guests, but will always respond by booing him. He will attempt to scare guests as an interaction, but the Sim in question simply doesn't budge due to his complete silence.
Gabby is notorious for stealing objects on the lot, even if the household members are in clear view. If a buffet table is present, he will stuff his face and steal some bites and put them inside his pocket. If Yves the Caterer is present, he will confront the mime and slap him - after this, he will tell him to go away, though he simply shrugs at his attempt. The only interaction for Gabby the mime is "Ask to leave," but he refuses to do so, responding to such attempts by pulling out a Llama hand puppet and voicing refusal through it. If a Spazmatronic Plasmatronic Go-Go Cage is present, he will try to dance inside of it.
The only way to get rid of him is to make everyone happier, end the party, or delete him using the "moveobjects" cheat. He uses words like "zem" and "eez", and accordion music plays when he appears, implying that he is French.
Appearance in other games[]
Gabby's only appearance is in House Party, and he hasn't returned in any other game from the series yet, but a similar mime that made an appearance in The Sims 2: FreeTime could be a reference to him. Although not seen in-game, he is seen in a comedy movie called Mime Cat, involving an unsuccessful mime and a stray cat. There are no other known cases of Gabby appearing in a game other than The Sims.
