Forums: IndexHelp deskWeird Smart Milk glitch | Forum new Post

So, I was playing one of my families in Riverblossom Hills today, which consists of two parents and two babies. Anyway, the babies' birthday came and as soon as they grew up I gave both of the twin female toddlers Smart Milk in order to start right away with the toddler skills. So, they learned to talk right away. Later, when the effects supposedly passed the parents taught them to walk and they potty trained them in under 3 hours. While I'm a bit relieved that I don't have to spend all that time to learn them all those things, I'm a bit bored now since the whole process to learn both of them skills took less than 10 hours in-game! And they learn super fast. This also effects every skill toy they use - they learn skills at a very quick rate. So, I'm just wondering, did the Smart Milk still have the effect even though they stopped glowing quickly?

Here's just two notes I gathered:

  • Long before I even made the mother pregnant, I edited the parents in SimPE so that they could get the skills and jobs that I wanted (I doubt this is relevant.).
  • Both of the twins have 0 Playfulness points, which I think may be the reason also. Even though, I don't think any Sim can learn skills that fast.

Have any of you experienced something similar? I have, in the past, but never with toddlers and reasons were always cheats or aspiration rewards. Cavia (wheek speak) 20:26, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

I don't if low Playfulness increases learning rate, but that has been known to happen with Smart Milk regardless of the toddler's personality. Dharden (talk) 23:51, April 19, 2013 (UTC)
Smart Milk effect has the tendency to get "stuck" in toddlers, and sometimes, this effect will remain stuck when they grow up to children, but will stop once they're teenagers. Sometimes, you can un-stick the effect by feeding the toddlers Smart Milk again, but it may not work either. There's no way to tell if the effect is still there or not, so it's not the most efficient way.
If you use Pescado's batbox, there's an option "Make Me Smart / Stupid." Select your toddler, and if it says "Make Me Stupid," then yes, the effect is still stuck. Choose it to fix the stuck effect. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:34, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
