So sometimes I'll see a user and I'll be like: Hmm, I wonder where their username came from. Some may be based on a game, some may variations of their real names, some could be random, who knows? With this in mind, I decided to create a forum thread where everyone is invited to present a description of how they conjured up their username. • GeorgieGibbons: I may as well go first. It's basically my real name except for the fact that none of my friends actually call me Georgie anymore. As for the all-caps which is permanently part of my username...basically when I first started using this I had an issue with my keyboard and I didn't realise I had the caps lock on, meaning I was stuck with this. I kind of adopted it across the whole of Wikia and never bothered to get that fixed, although it's probably impossible. However I don't use the all-caps variation on IRC, with the exception of my cloak. Also I couldn't think of anything imaginative... • Lost Labyrinth: Steam name and level from Sonic 4 EP1. Sorry if you were hoping for anything exciting. Lost Labyrinth Flag united kingdom england (c)(b) 01:06, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
  • DanPin: Well, the "Dan" part is a section of my first name and the "Pin" part is a section of my surname. I don't know how the heck I came up with it, but it just sounded right in my ears. In some places I put a "The" behind, either because it was already taken somewhere or because it just looks cool. :3 DanPintalkcontribs 20:54, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • Starmoonie: My username was actually suppose to be "GeminiStar" but I had to change it because it didn't feel right to me. It was actually based on my love for Astrology and anything that was "Space" related. I just knew Starmoon was an okay username but then added the "IE" on the end to be more creative some how.Star-Talk 21:16, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • LostInRiverview: My username was created due to a misunderstanding about Wikia registration. I created my username in order to fit in with The Sims Wiki, since this was the first Wikia wiki that I contributed to. After the fact I was convinced to start watching Lost so the 'Lost' part of my name has its own (unintended) meaning as well. The shortened version of my username - LiR - is common on the IRC and even in short-hand discussions on-wiki, and it has become my go-to username for other websites as well. -- LiR speak ~ read 21:17, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • AsherEire: Asher is an extended form of my nickname, and Eire (pronounced Air- I know a lot of people have trouble pronouncing it) means "Ireland" in Irish, simply reflecting my nationality. AsherEire talk 21:30, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • Pidgeoraptor7: My username is a combination of my two favorite flying-type Pokemon, Pidgeot (hence Pidgeo) and Staraptor (hence Raptor). The seven is just because it's my favorite number. Some of my friends think that Pokemon is lame, which it isn't, so I on occasion will say it came from the incorrect spelling of pigeon (back in the day when we thought it was pidgeon) and the dinosaur "velociraptor". I got my nickname, PGR7, from my friend during an online conversation, as she grew tired of typing the full thing, so users often refer to me as just Pidge or PGR.
  • ShadoWolff13: My username for Minecraft. It's very complicated how I put it together, it was originally supposed to simply be ShadowWolf. ShadoWolff comes from 1) I made up a Pokémon called Shadowolf (hence no two w's). Pathetic, I know. 2) I love wolves, and I am very much a night owl. 3) I love playing with the Wolff family. So combining these three, I came up with ShadoWolff. Thirteen is just a random number (because Minecraft wouldn't take just ShadoWolff), which also adds up to 4, my second favorite number. It has become a secondary username for me. SalazzlePGR7 (parler - entendre) 22:47, August 10, 2012 UTC
  • TheSims23: I didn't think much about my username. I just wrote name of a game I played when I made an account (The Sims 2). I added '3' because I was supposed to get The Sims 3 in a few months. So, my username actually shows which The Sims games I play ;) Simming is my Life! Talk 23:28, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • Bakerychaz: My dad & I were coming up with a username for a different website and I was looking at a cookbook at the time, which made me come up with "Bakery", then I just added "Chaz" to the end, as it's one of my nicknames. It may sound like nonsense, but it isn't. I now use Bakerychaz as my username for everything! BakeryChaz ~ (let's have a chat!) 23:40, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • ELiT3xNuK3: My username is the worst username EVER! I only did it because it was my xbox gamertag and I thought it was "cool" and I thought that's what everyone else did. Apparantly not. The only reason I made it my username is becuase I like my usernames to be the same. L33T speak is NOT cool at all, it is really annoying. I've tried to change it but I don't know how :c Anyways, that is the terrible story of my HORRIFIC username. Colin the Panda (talk here) 23:53, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • Freedom5000: I wanted to join a website called DevintArt a few years back and I came up with Freedom because of a group my friends and I made up. Unfortunately, that didn't work so I randomly added the "5000". When people started calling me Freedom I stuck with the name and that became most of my usernames with few exceptions. Freedom50000 (talk) 00:08, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • SoaringDragon: I came up with this username as I was registering for the MapleStory Sea Forums 7 years ago (because I didn't know that Global existed and was a total n00b at gaming on the internet). At that time I had semi-recently found out that, since I was born in January, I was a dragon and not a snake...and I love dragons. Anyway, I tried "Dragon" and it was obviously taken, so the forum prompted with some other variations and none of them really clicked. Then I thought "Dragons soar right?" So I appended "Soaring" to the front and that became my go-to username from then on. Surprisingly, it was unique to me for a long while so I use it for pretty much everything. Unfortunately it's not so unique anymore (especially if you search Japanese sites), but I still think of it as exclusively me. TSCS IconSoaringDragonSig-hTalk01:40, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • Mathetesalexandrou: As stated in my userpage, it's the amalgation of Mathetes (disciple) and Alexandrou (genitive form of Alexandros, meaning of Alexandros, and Alexandros referring to that Alexandros) MILK FOR THE UNYUUFEX, FLAT CHEST FOR THE CUTENESS THRONE, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL PROBES (user talk:Mathetesalexandrou) 01:55, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • Woganhemlock: Named after my favourite sim at the time. I've adopted it as a nick for across the internet on a fair few sites even if I don't use him in ts3 anymore. People have on occasion believed that its my real name XD ђ talk 02:24, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • Nikel23: I have always used "Nikel" since really long ago as my nick for any games. I named it after one of my favorite cast in a soap opera who died tragically (which ironically, I typo-ed it. Should've been "Niken" instead!). That was very very long ago that I had no idea why I liked soap opera at that time. XP I originally planned to use just "Nikel" as my username, but this wiki never allowed me, so I ultimately added "23" which is my birth date. Later, I now use "Nikel23" in most sites because they just wouldn't allow me to use "Nikel"! Even IRC wouldn't! Nikel Talk Vote! 07:28, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • Tamara destiny: Was my username from May 8 2010 to December 24 2011. This one was based on the sim, Tamara Donner.
  • Lesya Zirka: My username since December 24 2011. I changed my username to this to reflect my ukrainian style. Lesya means defender of man and Zirka is ukrainian for Star whereoff my signature. Defending Star (talk) 09:12, August 11, 2012 (UTC) Lesya Zirka
  • Guilherme Guerreiro: These were two parts of my full name. Portuguese names are really long compared to other countries, by the way. =P I thought it was a good pseudonym. However, this came with a consequence as "Guilherme" part of my name is a given male name in my country, so, Portuguese contributors would often misguess my gender, so I decided to change that.
    • RoseGui: My second username - since I love flowers, I decided my name should have something to do with flowers and I chose "Rose" because it sounded cute and then, since just "Rose" wouldn't be accepted, I combined it with "Gui", which was already a nick people gave me here, to make my change easier to memorize. :) --RoseGuiThanks rose (talk here) 15:41, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • JM9193 Perhaps the dumbest and most unintersting user name of them all. It's jsut the first letters of my first name and surname followed by some random numbers (which ironically are the anagram of my birth year (1993)). Geez I feel dumb just thinking about it. I'm even considering changing it. JM9193 (talk) 10:07, August 12, 2012 (UTC)
  • Potternia Because I love Harry Potter very much and Nia, i don't know. The name comes out of nowhere. And about the name I usually use. Tara Saraswati. Tara Saraswati is my Mom name when she broadcast in radio. Saraswati also my first name :) Dini~ (Talk With Me) 10:49, August 12, 2012 (UTC)
  • AndronikosLeventis: Basically my real-life name.
    • Necromancer Mortanius: I'm really into the "Legacy of Kain" series of games, and since I think this is the coolest character in the series, I basically made this my secondary username. A trip to hell is an exciting experience, isn't it? 20:14, August 12, 2012 (UTC)
  • Vss2eip I needed a username to register a game so I just wrote random letters. Pretty boring, but I use the username for most sites. Vss2eiptalk here 20:58, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
    • Cavia porcellus: It reflects my love for guinea pigs, since Cavia porcellus means guinea pig in Latin. It was supposed to be Cavia, but it was taken already. Caviawheek here 21:20, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
  • Rodrigo X: my real fist name + the letter X. Why that letter? I don't know. I also use on other sites Hardstylehunt3r (Hardstyle + Hunter) and Deathmask (because of my idol and favourite DJ/producer, Angerfist. One of his tracks has that name). --- ʀodrigo x (talk)(contribs)  21:37, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
  • Lalapalooza: A variation of lollapalooza, which means "an extraordinary or unusual thing, person, or event; an exceptional example or instance." I guess I consider myself a bit unusual, or at least a bit more so than others. As for how I found this odd word, I was looking around a dictionary site when it popped up on a flash game under it. Weird words, or something. Lalapalooza (talk) 22:12, February 14, 2013 (UTC)
  • HanaGoth96: My username consists of my first name and the way I like to spell it (Hana). I then added the word Goth, which at the time of joining the wiki, much like LiR, I had thought that this was going to be the only wiki that I would join. I also added two numbers at the end, just for the sake of it. HanaGoth96 (Neigh...?) 09:18, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
    • Beds: I have an obsession with beds and have somehow gained the nickname of Beds on Chat. :) Beds (parlare - blog) 14:16, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
  • Waikikamukow: Alright, I tried to make up some amazing humorous story to explain the origin of my username, but honestly, I couldn't. So here it is: it's on a magnet on our dishwasher... and no, I'm not kidding ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 10:39, April 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • SaraRomania1: Sara is my first name, Romania is where i have origins and 1...for a number :) If you wanna say, just say (talk) 10:46, April 28, 2013 (UTC)SaraRomania1
  • Bleeh: No, it's not pronounced "blee." My username was inspired by the "bleh" sound emitted by vampires in TS2; Nightlife was my favourite game at the time of registration and vampires were my favourite life state. Luckily, it's not obviously linked to vampires in TS2 by anyone who doesn't play the game, so it's a username that I can use on other sites that is generally not taken. --Bleeh(talk) (blog) 14:59, April 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • Hurshbr: Well, my middle name is Brianne, and Hursh is a part of my last name. I know it sounds masculine, but trust me, I'm a girl. Hurshbr (talk) 18:21, April 28, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr
  • Kittygirl7878: I'm a kitty girl. Who doesn't like 7's or 8's? I smell like teen spirit▓ 18:58, April 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • Blue12porcupine: My username is basically all my favorite things, blue is my favorite colour, 12 is my favorite numer and porcupine is my favorite animal. I use diffren varition of it on diffrent sites so i may accidently sign my name wrong. Blue12porcupine talk 18:49, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
  • Jason034: My username originates from 2 simple things: 1. My name (Jason) 2. My favourite number (34)
    • JasonThePlum: This one, well obviously its my name. The "ThePlum" part was really random - I couldn't think of a better username... Jason (Talk) {{{1}}}

  • Auror Andrachome
Auror is a member of an elite unit of highly-trained, specialist officers within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Magic trained to investigate crimes related to the Dark Arts, and apprehend or detain Dark wizards and witches. This makes them, essentially, the wizarding world equivalent of police officers and military (as they dual serve in both roles).
Auror training is very difficult and intensive, so there are few qualified applicants. According to Minerva McGonagall, no Auror had been taken on for three years prior to 1995, though Nymphadora Tonks stated that she qualified the year before, meaning she was probably one of the last candidates taken on. The head of the Auror Office as of 2007 was Harry Potter.
Andra is a Greek girl name. The meaning of the name is `Strong & Courageous `.
"Chome" was meant to be "Chrome", but it seems the login setup information sentry had different ideas. Oh well.

  • TopherGopher: Well, Topher is a variation of my first name, and Gopher rhymes. Voila. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TopherGopher (talkcontribs) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~
  • k6ka. Okay to revive this thread? Well, the username first came to mind in May 2009, when I was registering for a Newgrounds account. I was thinking of a username that was short enough for me to remember and not corny or cheesy like my mom makes up for me. My mind slowly arranged a k, then a 6, then a k, and then an a. That was where "k6ka" was born, pronounced "kay-SIX-kay-ay". --k6ka (talk | contribs) 14:20, May 31, 2014 (UTC)
  • C.Syde65. My username is basically what my real name means - Seaside, the Sea, or even Son of the Sea. I decided to give myself a nickname C. later C.Syde - I changed the spelling to make it more interesting. On the wiki, it is a good way to keep my real name and my identity hidden. As for the '65' bit - well that's just the number that's been following me around for the last few years :) C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:55, June 1, 2014 (UTC)
  • Joey.eyeball: I honestly have no idea how I got my username. It was the first one I had so I just stuck with it. I must of been a crazy ten year old boy to think of it. Joey.eyeball (talk) 05:41, July 29, 2014 (UTC)
  • WikiBuilder1147: I once had another username (I can't remember what it was), but I decided that I wanted to change it about a year after I created my account, so I went ahead and typed in the first thing that came into my head. Everyone knows what the "WikiBuilder" part means, but "1147" was the part of a number that was given to me in primary school for computer lab access.
  • ThePeculiarMe. My username's history is all that simple. I was weird before, and I think I'm still weird but with possible reasons that is. I had the smarts but socializing and I aren't gfetting along. I'm just wonderfully pathetic. So, my username supposed to be TheAwkwardMe but it doesn't fit to me at all. And I found out the word "peculiar" from the story of my 7th grade English book "The Peculiar Chicken". So yeah, that's about it. And I use my username as a pen name for my poems. ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 11:53, September 11, 2014 (UTC)
    • Audigrand. This is my official username in the Wikia. I contributed (sort of) in the Club Penguin Wiki. But I found out that the wiki was so boring to me (no offense to the WikiLove :3), and I decided to left the wiki. But after 2 years, I was being proactive to contributed to the wiki again, with a more sense this time. But I forgot the password of this one, so I created another one and...ThePeculiarMe was born. By the way, Audigrand is a pseudonym of my two favorite games, Audition and Grand Chase. ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 11:53, September 11, 2014 (UTC)
  • Kaiko Espurr Mikkusu: Well my real name is Gaia and the japanese version of it would be Kay or Kai and thus i added ko to make it more girly. Kaiko means Gaia in japanese. Right? Yes, when i was younger, like eight or nine, i pretended i have some special powers and associations with a group of magical girls called the "MIX", and i was their commander. MIX standed basically for nothing, it was in all-caps but never an acronym, basically in my imagination there was a sort of magical world with a writing sistem based on that on the Mirumo de Pon anime, and there was a symbol that apparently read MIX but it would not be important without spelling it in all-caps. And in japanese it would've been Mikkusu so my name was Kaiko Mikkusu. I was thinking Elysion as a middle name, as i was making some RPGish chart, but then watching some stuff 'bout Pokèmon on cheezburger\memebase, i thought the E. could stand for Espurr instead. Kaiko Mikkusu (talk) 12:09, November 1, 2014 (UTC)
  • Darytyg123123 I know this is a old thread but considering it's in active threads I thought why not. My username was first introduced in 2013 on Origin. I wanted to create a combination of my nickname which is Dary and tyg cause I loved the combination. Eventually much later I decided to add numbers towards my username and thus Darytyg123123 was born. Darytyg123123 (talk) 14:19, September 10, 2016 (UTC)
