Flower arranging is a talent badge introduced in The Sims 2: Open for Business and a skill introduced in The Sims 4: Seasons.
The Sims 2: Open for Business[]

In The Sims 2: Open for Business, the talent badge is attained by arranging flowers using the "That Smells Great!" Floral Workstation. As Sims craft more flowers, they will gain experience and eventually achieve the Talent Badge. Higher level talent badges will enable Sims to arrange the flowers faster. It also unlocks more types of flower arrangements that can be crafted. These crafted flowers can be sold in a florist business. Higher Creativity skill will make Sims earn this badge faster. If The Sims 2 Freetime is installed, performing this activity will raise enthusiasm for the Arts and Crafts hobby.
| Icon | Name | Description | Flower Arrangement | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No icon | No badge | No description |
|
A Daisy Bouquet costs §36 to craft and sells for §40. |
|
Bronze badge | Learning not to jam the flowers into vases really hard has let (Sim) make arrangements with more delicate flowers. That deserves a Bronze Flower Arranging Talent Badge! |
|
A Wildflower Bouquet costs §47 to craft and sells for §55. A Tulip Bouquet costs §61 to craft and sells for §70. |
|
Silver badge | Understanding how to get expensive flowers to look great in a display without taking all day to do it has won (Sim) a Silver Flower Arranging Talent Badge! |
|
A Mixed Flower Bouquet costs §68 to craft and sells for §85. A Rose Bouquet costs §96 to craft and sells for §120. |
|
Gold badge | The countless hours of manipulating flowers has taught (Sim) how to blend the scents of various blooms to create a powerful refreshing scent for anyone nearby. Such mastery calls for a Gold Flower arranging Talent Badge! | A Snapdragon Bouquet costs §240 to craft and sells for §300.
If a Snapdragon Bouquet is successful, it can be placed and will raise every Sim's motives in the room it is placed in, except energy. However, if it is not successful, it will lower these motives. |
The Sims 4: Seasons[]

Flower arranging returns as a skill in The Sims 4: Seasons and is attained by arranging flowers using the "Violets are Blue" Flower Arranging Table. Increasing this skill allows a Sim to create different types of flower arrangements, using a wider variety of flowers. They also unlock the ability to scent arrangements with different flowers, causing Sims to have an emotional response to the arrangement. With The Sims 4: My Wedding Stories installed, Sims are also able to craft wedding bouquets on the same table.
Having access to death flowers while at flower arranging skill level 9 or higher, a Sim can age up and kill other Sims by gifting them death flower-scented flower arrangements. Upon opening the gift, the receiving Sim will age up one time per arrangement, and eventually will die upon being given the gift while they are an elder.
Although the flower arranging skill is exclusive to The Sims 4: Seasons, it is legitimately possible to build this skill without the required pack via rare methods, such as trimming the bonsai tree (along with gardening) in the base game. This has been discovered by players following the release of patch 123, indicating that the skill can be learned by a Sim regardless of which packs the player owns.

Arrangements[]
Scents[]
Sims can only scent finish flower arrangements that are of "Excellent" quality or higher. With the exception of 3 scents, the Sim that made the arrangement and added the scent can sniff it to feel the effects themself. Arrangements can also be gifted to another Sim, forcing that Sim to feel the effects of the scent. Below is a table of all possible flower arrangements scents and their effects.

Wedding bouquets[]
If The Sims 4: My Wedding Stories is installed, 5 of the wedding bouquets that can be purchased from the flower stand in Tartosa are available for Sims to make at the flower arranging table. Wedding bouquets only require the Sim to be at level 1 of the flower arranging skill, and there are no varying levels of quality.
Similar to normal flower arrangements, Sims can use flowers in their inventory to create wedding bouquets at a reduced cost. However, wedding bouquets cannot be scented, and they will never "spoil".
