Flamingos, like llamas, are a recurring motif in The Sims series. In all three games, plastic lawn flamingos appear as cheap outdoor decorations. Neon flamingos appear in The Sims and The Sims 2. In The Sims, they appear as neon flamingo wall lamps that were originally used to promote the defunct SimCity Flamingos hockey team. In The Sims 2, the neon flamingo appears as a decorative wall hanging. In The Sims 3 the flamingo again appears as a lawn decoration, coming in a variety of colors.
