The Film Studio is a new rabbit hole lot first introduced in The Sims 3: Late Night,[1] and it serves as the workplace for Sims in the Film career. Both the rabbit hole and the Bridgeport default film studio lot share the same name (Plumbob Pictures Backlot). The rabbithole itself measures 31x35 squares.
The rabbit hole has 2 dumpsters integrated into it in one of the corners. In contrast to all other dumpsters in the Sims 3 era, clicking on either of the 2 dumpsters will show the rabbit hole's normal prompts about touring or joining the Film career.
The Film career has two branches: Director and Actor, and it is well known that Sims who join this career will become celebrities. Sims can tour the Film Studio and WooHoo in it. If a Sim reaches a certain level in their career, they will receive an actor trailer as a career reward. In that trailer your Sims can sleep, relax or WooHoo.
The film studio will also host movie screenings once a week on Thursdays 12:00 - 16:00 (4 PM), which differ from those shown in theaters and which have different moodlets. Those screenings are open for all Sims, and are free of charge. A movie lasts a little over 2 hours in-game, and Sims can attend a second screening that day if they enter again within the screening hours.
In contrast to theaters, the moodlets given after a movie do not correspond to specific movie names or genres.
