Emma Hatch is a pre-made young adult Sim who lives in Sunset Valley, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 3. She lives with four roommates. When the family is first played, she is 17 days away from aging up into an adult.

Emma is unflirty but an artistic, charismatic chef with a good sense of humour. Seeing the following as a fun challenge, she likes trying to please all her roommates with her cooking as a result of their differing tastes. Her large stature could be linked to her love of food.

Emma is best friends with Ayesha Ansari, friends with Cycl0n3 Sw0rd, and acquaintances with the other Working Friends family members, the rest of her roommates and her boss. She has four skill points in cooking- though she needs three more points in order to increase her chances of obtaining a promotion- and is employed as an Ingredient Taster in the culinary career. She carries four books in her inventory; Cooking Vol. 1: Too Much Salt!, Charisma Vol. 1: Fixing The Friend Problem, I'm Still Cool and On The Margins.

If story progression is left on, Emma will sometimes be found in a relationship with one of her roommates.
