The Sims 4: Werewolves is the twelfth game pack for The Sims 4. It was teased on June 1, 2022 and officially announced on June 2, 2022. The game pack was released on June 16, 2022 on all platforms.
The pack reintroduces the werewolf life state to the game, in a similar manner to The Sims 2: Pets and The Sims 3: Supernatural. It also adds the new world of Moonwood Mill.[1]

Embrace your transformation. Howl the night away in The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack! Your Sims will transform, join packs, and run wild under the light of the full moon. Explore the world of Moonwood Mill and discover the secrets of the werewolves as you navigate your new lycanthrope life. Sims will unlock new abilities, manage new temperaments, and maybe even meet their fated mates.
KEY FEATURES
Life on the Wild Side – What big teeth you’ll have! Transform into a werewolf and embrace (or fight) your animalistic nature. Beyond rocking a fearsome form werewolf Sims will have unique temperaments and abilities, be affected by the phase of the moon, and experience wolf-specific life events.
Alpha or Lone Wolf? – Craft your werewolf identity. Were you bitten, or were you born into a werewolf family? However it happened, now you’ve got to decide what kind of wolf you want to be. Find a pack to prowl the night with, meet your fated mate atop Howling Point, or shun all that and try to make it as a lone wolf.
Lycanthrope Lore – There’s a lot to learn about werewolves and their origins. Unravel werewolf, vampire, and spellcaster lore as you read books, discover secret tunnels, grow your collection, and interact with denizens of Moonwood Mill.

- Unique abilities to unlock like running on all fours, immortality, and lunar resistance
- 'Fury', which builds and turns your Sim into a werewolf when it’s hit its maximum state
- Unique temperaments that "distinguish how that Sim's fury may grow"
- Unique events focused on werewolves
- Read werewolf literature to unlock the Lunar Epiphany ability that allows you to decipher the ancient werewolf writing. This special ability lets you find secret notes in wolf books and decipher them.
Promotion[]
The Sims 4: Werewolves has a great teaser before the trailer on Twitter. It launched by SimGuru Doi with a picture of the note writting kind of hieroglyphs accompanied by a haiku:
"If citrus stale, eat other root.
Fate, woe be it!
As a ski snacker, Alps raid le 246.

For the next two days, Sim Gurus had posted a total of forteen mysterious notes. Player deciphered all these codes soon, which prove lycanthropic characters used by ancient werewolves. At last, SimGuru Doi wrote a prose poem in the text and attached another one to the note image, both of which represent werewolves' lives.
"we watched the sun disappear
over the horizon,
leaving us in the moonlight
free and wild"
"Unsure of exact whereabouts
dizziness is worsening
quickly now before I transform
Let it be known that Vampires suck

Trivia[]
- The werewolves in this pack appear more animalistic, similar to the werewolf look created with the "Beauty or Beast" charm in The Sims: Makin' Magic. Werewolves in The Sims 2: Pets and The Sims 3: Supernatural are more humanoid in their appearance.
- This is the sixth pack for The Sims 4 to introduce a new occult type, after The Sims 4: Get to Work, The Sims 4: Vampires, The Sims 4: Island Living, The Sims 4: Realm of Magic, and The Sims 4: Discover University.
- All Moonwood Mill lots were created by popular YouTube Simmer, James Turner.
