| The only thing Vivian loves more than painting is her family, and if she's being honest, the father of her children walking out after Ozvaldo's pregnancy was the best thing to ever happen to them. She took it well -- or so she's convinced herself -- but her parents were a different story; she could never have imagined they'd take the news as an excuse to pack up their lives and move themselves in. Vivian Torres is a Sim living in the newly renovated town of Newcrest. Along with her three children Arian, Xiomara and Ozvaldo Torres, she resides in the Llama Lagoon neighborhood at Haughty Heights, where her family has recently been joined by her parents, Luzella and Romeo Torres. At the beginning of the game, Vivian is twenty days away from becoming an Adult.
When first played, Vivian is employed in the Painter career as a Hungry Artist with an excellent job performance; despite mastering the Painting skill, she has only recently joined the career following the departure of her ex-partner, explaining her lower position within the profession. Although she is a single mother, she has a strong relationship with each of her children, but like her son and daughter, her relationship with her parents is somewhat strained. Having had a long-standing passion for her art, Vivian has made significant progress towards completing her Aspiration of Painter Extraordinaire, only needing to complete three excellent paintings before progressing to its final stage.
Vivian carries an easel, an unfinished figure drawing, a personal journal, a bicycle, and each of her children's birth certificates in her inventory.
