Tanya Crystal is a Sim who was first introduced in The Sims Castaway Stories. She returned in The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection living in Riverside, as well as returning in The Sims 3 as a child living in Riverview with her parents. She also returned in The Sims 3: Supernatural living in Strangetown and The Sims 4 living in Oasis Springs. She is the daughter of Vincent and Diamond Crystal, and Mother to Jenna, Amanda, and Nathan Crystal. She is married to Darren Crystal (née Wood), and was also married to Ahio Heimata after she lost her memory, but upon regaining her memory she chose to go back Darren. Her and Ahio are on good terms still. She also has a sister named Sonya.
In The Sims 3, Tanya starts as a child living with her Mother, Diamond, Father Vincent and younger sister Sonya. She wears a dress similar to the dress she wears as an adult in The Sims 2. She is best friends with Darren Wood, she has a good relationship with Sonya her sister. Her traits are Family-Oriented, Active and Outgoing. She attends Elementary School and is a grade B. She enjoys going to the local swimming pool and hanging out with Darren. When she ages into a teenager if the player has a party and invites Darren, after she ages up the two will autonomously start doing romantic interactions with each other until they reach "Romantic Interest" with each other.
Life leading up to The Sims 2[]
The Sims 2 24 years after The Sims 3, Tanya lives with her husband Darren Crystal and is pregnant with her first child, Jenna. Her sister, Sonya also lives with her as well as Sonya's pet cat Nibbles. The family is fairly wealthy and live in a big house. Tanya does not have a job and is a stay at home Mother, whilst Sonya and Darren work to bring in the Simoleons. After Tanya gives birth to Jenna she spends most of her time teaching her how to walk and talk. Tanya has a strong relationship with her sister but appears to have a declining relationship with Darren.
Tanya is close to her Mother and Father and will want to visit them often. She usually has fears of any of her family members dying.
Life leading up to The Sims Castaway Stories[]
The Sims Castaway Stories marks Tanya's first appearance and is set 14 years after The Sims 2. Tanya's relationship with her husband Darren continued to decline so the pair decided to take a break from each other. Tanya decided to go on a two-week cruise to clear her head and think about her marriage while Darren stayed at home with the Children. On the cruise Tanya was having a great time until the ship crashed. Tanya woke up on a beach with no memories whatsoever. She had no idea she had two kids and a husband, all she could remember was her own name. Not knowing where she was, she realized she was stranded and began to build herself a fire and shelter. A few months passed as she explored the island. She eventually came across some more survivors of the shipwreck. She decided to work with them for a while. Tanya continued searching the island until she came across some natives. She began to do some taks for them. There she met a man named Ahio who she fell for instantly.
She completed more tasks for the natives and attended a special Volcano celebration. There, she done a few tasks to impress Ahio and shared her very first kiss with him. After a while Ahio got infected with an illness that the natives thought was a curse. Tanya had no choice but to find a cure within three days otherwise Ahio would die. Eventually she found the cure after banishing Winford Rhinehart from the island. She took the cure to Ahio and saved him. A few moments later a helicopter showed up to take all the survivors home. Still having no memories Tanya decides to stay on the island with Ahio thinking there is nothing for her at "home".
Life leading up to The Sims 3: Supernatural[]
The Sims 3: Supernatural is set 16 years after The Sims 2. Tanya now lives in Strangetown with Ahio. After living in the jungle for two years Tanya wanted to get back to reality and so she and Ahio moved to Strangetown. At first Ahio rejected Tanya's offer to move as he was raised in the jungle but he could not be without his love and decided to move with her. Tanya still does not remember her real family and could only remember the name Nathan, whom she named her son with Ahio who she must have gave birth too after the events of Castaway.
Nathan is only a toddler and Tanya stays at home with him trying to teach him to walk and talk, whilst Ahio tries to get to grips with his new life and searches for a job. Tanya begins to remember more about her past whilst teaching Nathan life skills. She remembers teaching a little girl the same things, a girl named Jenna. Filled with excitement that she remembers yet another name, possibly the name of her daughter, Tanya begins searching for her. Knowing that Strangetown is filled with mystery, with missing Sims popping up here and strange things happening, this is the perfect place to start looking! Right?
Tanya gave birth to her second daughter Amanda 13 years after the events of The Sims 2. Which is one year before the events of The Sims Castaway Stories.
Tanya's story is similar to that of her daughters, Jenna, original counterpart.
Jenna went missing after being abducted by Aliens and re appeared years later in Strangetown, much like the way Tanya goes missing after her ship wrecked and eventually moving to Strangetown.
When Tanya made her first appearance in The Sims Castaway Stories she was thought to be the original Tanya from the Original timeline. However, after the release of The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection it was announced that the Tanya appearing in this game is the same one who appeared in The Sims Castaway Stories, thus being an alternate version of the original Tanya. This was to give her a backstory before the release of The Sims 4.
