Starr Straight (née Schwarz) is the daughter of Justine Schwarz and Mike Erickson and the granddaughter of Robyn Schwarz, Jolene Lu, and Chadwick Erickson. She is Tristan Straight's wife.

Starr and Tristan have three children together: Dawn, Minty, and Sebastian. Starr currently resides in Starlight Shores with her family.

Childhood[]

Starr was born to parents Justine Schwarz and Mike Erickson, who were very poor at the time of her birth. Her parents didn't even move into a two-bedroom house until she turned two. Her family for once was in a good place. This, however, didn't last long. By the time Starr was 5, her parents filed for divorce. Justine sat her down and explained to Starr that her father wasn't in love with her anymore (as he had affair). With no one else to turn to, she and her mom moved in with June Straight and Janet Michaels, who were happy to take them in.

Starr's father began to clean up his act and make efforts to be a better person and father. He got remarried, giving Starr a new brother. Her father made it an effort to speak with her on the phone at least once a week.

Teen Years[]

Starr developed an instant crush on Kirsten Straight and Sally Hustev's son, Tristan Straight. She planned to ask him to homecoming, but life got in the way. One night, Starr went with Justine, June, and Janet to see a movie. A horrible gas fire sparked, engulfing the kitchen; Dane was gone. A distraught Tristan canceled his plans to attend the dance. Everyone eventually coped with Dane's death, and stuck together.

Meeting her grandfather[]

The sun began to come out, however. Justine learned that the identity of her father was a man by the name of David Starr, now living in Monte Vista with his wife and daughters. Justine discovered that both she and her daughter were inadvertantly named after him. David led an idyllic life, was happily married, and very wealthy. Justine and Starr flew out to Monte Vista to meet him. While it was a shock at first, he welcomed them into the family without hesitation. Starr met her grandfather, and her aunts. After a pleasant evening of dinner and board games, David, and his wife, Bessie, told Justine and Starr they were welcome to visit anytime.

Relationship with Tristan Straight[]

One day while walking in the park, she saw Tristan on a date with another girl. Upset, she ran home. Trying to just forget about it and go on with her life, Starr jumped into a relationship with her classmate, Eduardo Lobos. This didn't last however. Eduardo just knew that she was in love with Tristan, he could see it whenever the two were hanging out. After he broke things off, Starr decided to just throw caution to the wind and ask out Tristan. Eduardo later discovered his true-self and would marry Starr's cousin, Leo. Overcome with joy that Tristan said yes, they attended her grandmother's engagement shower together. They wound up sharing a kiss before the night was over. After only two dates, the pair became official; they just wanted to be together and had been friends for so long.

Justine and her boyfriend, Duane, had decided to move in together. They moved with Starr to a nice house on Long Island Drive.

Early Adulthood[]

Shortly after graduation, Tristan and Starr got engaged. Although they were young, their parents still fully supported the happy couple. Their wedding was put off by a month, however, due to the death of Tristan's aunt June. After that month, they had a small ceremony at Riverwalk Park.

A year later, Starr's mother was getting married. At the wedding, Starr revealed that she and Tristan were expecting! 9 months later, Starr was far along. She and Tristan had plans to meet her parents for lunch together. However, she went into labor just as they were about to enter the restaurant. Later that day, Dawn was born.

When Dawn was almost two, Tristan's mother, Kirsten, sadly passed away. However, things were looking up for the Straight family: Starr had begun a career in journalism and landed her first reporting job.

Things continued as normal for them, and Tristan and Starr began trying for another baby. When Dawn turned 7, Starr's mother passed from natural causes. But when one door closes another one opens. Shortly after, Starr found out she was pregnant for a second time.

Adulthood[]

During her pregnancy, Starr kept up with her career, continuing to interview people and write articles. There was a little bit of stress when Dawn started failing school. But they encouraged her to get serious. She soon got her grades back up with her babysitter's help.

Starr went into labor in the middle of the night, after her and Tristan had returned from a date night. Later that morning, Starr gave birth to another daughter, who they named Minty.

Eventually, Starr managed to secure a position as the local weather woman. Thankfully, Tristan and a now teenage Dawn were able to watch Minty while she was busy. As Minty entered grade school, Starr and Tristan realized they wanted one more child. They began trying again, and soon Starr was pregnant for a third time. Later, Starr gave birth to a son, Sebastian.

A few months after Sebastian's birth, opportunity came knocking. The position of lead journalist opened up at a TV station over in Starlight Shores. Starr went for it after encouragement from her husband, and by some miracle ended up getting the job. The family packed up the house, the house that both Tristan and Starr had known their whole lives, and relocated to Starlight Shores. Tristan ended up quitting his job to look after Sebastian.

Starr's career continued on. Sebastian grew up, Dawn went off to college, and Tristan eventually went back to work. She eventually landed herself the position of lead reporter.

After graduating Dawn quickly married her college sweetheart and gave Tristan and Starr two grandchildren, Dean and Megan.

Elder Years[]

By now Dawn had moved away to Moonlight Fals, believing it to be a better place to raise her children. Minty had graduated from college and returned with her girlfriend Ann. Sebastian was in high school as Starr was finally promoted to Editor-in-Chief. Ann, however, was subsequently kicked out of the house following her breakup with Minty, and Minty moved out as well.

Trivia[]

  • Because he lives in a different town (and is therefore on a different save file), David doesn't appear in the family tree in Riverview.
    • Trudy, Edith, and Eunice, Starr's aunts, don't appear on the family tree for the same reason.
    • Similarly, the Justine and Starr that appear in the screenshots taken at David's house in Monte Vista aren't the same Justine and Starr that reside in Riverview.
  • Starr's name is an inadvertent nod to the identity of her maternal grandfather, David Starr.
    • It's a family name.
