By 1916, the situation for Simerica had started to become dire. Their fleet had been bested at sea and a blockade had been instituted, causing supply and food shortages. Visari went home on temporary leave in June, spending time with his girlfriend, Alice Kim. Nine months later, Visari's first son, Julius, was born in Spring 2017. Visari was allowed to take a week to meet his son, though his comrades remarked when he returned that he was seemingly indifferent about it. Despite that they weren't married, Alice, who was seemingly head over heels for Scolar and had left her ex husband for him, gave Julius the Visari name.

<blockquote>I remember the desolate streets of Myshuno after the crash. So much loss. People lost their jobs, their homes, their loved ones. How was this possible? Why did the people in power allow this to happen? Why won't someone do something? Why won't I do something?

Sometime after New Years Day, 2020, Visari had a chance encounter with William Orlock, an old friend from the war. The two caught up, and Orlock told Visari of a group that met at the Old Quarter Inn, called the Worker's Nationalist Party, whose beliefs aligned much with Scolar's. He began attending their meetings, and while he was initially unimpressed, he eventually joined the Party.

  +
Visari continued to hold massive rallies across the country, now featuring battalions of Blackshirts marching and performing ceremonies. These rallies were easily visible through streaming services or on TV, and public conscience of the SNP spread like wildfire. Visari's words were heard by tens of millions of people, only helping to further his cause. The SNP in the Summer of 2025 had around 24,000,000 members, and the Blackshirts now outnumbered the Simerican Army on a 10:1 ratio. This in itself caused the ruling Coalition significant headache, fearing that while the SNP was a minority, it touted what had become a private army, and it was felt that only Scolar Visari stood between them and the Blackshirts.
  +
  +
As a Senator, while the SNP had limited influence in the Senate, he focused on building alliances with more radical members of the Conservative Faction. Due to infighting within the ruling Coalition, Visari managed to cause enough trouble within the chambers of the Senate to block some bills proposed by the majority, as well as using filibusters to his and his allies in the Senate's advantages.
  +
  +
In August 2025, the Center and Conservative Coalition finally broke in the Senate, which brought political stagnation to the body. Visari took advantage of this, calling it evidence of the failure of liberal democracy. Jorhan Stahl also began to emerge as a more prominent figure in the Party, taking over Visari's old job as the Information Director. Stahl launched an extensive media operation, the largest the Party had ever seen. Over the next months, Stahl turned Visari's image towards one of a potential Messiah to the Simerican people.

2028 Election
  +
Following a busy term in the Senate, Visari and his Party, which had seen massive successes since the last election, stood again in 2028, with Visari himself announcing his intent to run for President in mid-2027, though Party Regulations mandated that there be an open primary within the Party. Despite this, no one actually announced intent to run against Visari for the nomination. The Party, as a result, didn't even organize debates, and invested sizable money into Scolar Visari's campaign. Visari also received private donations from Khage Stahl and the Goth Family, which allowed for him to travel across the entire country, speaking everywhere and anywhere he could.

  +
Visari was the first and only SNP politician to appear on a national televised Presidential debate, in which he laid out, for the first time and to hundreds of millions of viewers, his planned system of Autarchy, in which the Simerican state will become fully self-succifient and self-reliant under an SNP government. Visari blamed international entities and foreign governments for Simerica's problems, somewhat masking the SNP's real philosophy on who was to "blame" for their troubles.
  +
  +
Visari's appearance in the Presidential Debates did much for the SNP, galvanizing support. On Election Day, 2028, the Center Party managed to hold onto its plurality, if only by a little more than a hundred seats or so. Visari lost the election, however, the night overall was a big win for the SNP, walking away as the third largest party in the Simerican Senate, just five seats behind the Conservatives.
  +
  +
It was also in 2028 that the Simerican Communist Party, the SNP's main rival faction, came into public conscience, winning 83 seats in the chamber.
  +
  +
Visari's Senate Seat was now vacant, due to his participation in the Presidential race, however, he got around this by having the Governor of Windenburg, an SNP politician and loyalist to Visari, appoint him to fill the empty seat, as to allow Visari to remain a Senator.

  +
The last years of the 2020s saw growing political and economic instability in the Simerican Republic. Riots and looting by both Communists and Blackshirts alike in the major cities became near constant throughout 2029 and 2030, all the while Visari and his propaganda team pinned it all on left-wing extremists seeking to destroy the Simerican nation. In the Summer of 2030, Visari called the first SNP National Convention, in which all of the Party leaders from every chapter across the country rallied in Windenburg to discuss the SNP's platform for the coming decade.
  +
  +
As riots continued across the country, unemployment also continued to skyrocket, as the breaking of the Center-Conservative Coalition in the years prior had allowed for the hyperinflation of the Simoleon and the Simerican job market;s "bleed-out" to continue, rampant and unchecked. Visari capitalized on this by sponsoring the operation of bread lines and soup kitchens across the country, run by the Blackshirts. For many middle and working class Simericans, the Blackshirts became synonymous with charity and feeding the hungry.
  +
  +
Visari's ambitions for the Presidency were still incredibly evident, saying in an interview in early 2030 that a bid for 2032 "has always been on the table." He spent a great deal of time touring the country speaking again, something he hadn't been doing with the exception of the 2028 election since he had been sworn in as a Senator, and it seemed like support for the SNP had kicked into high gear. The final years of the Simerican Republic were characterized by an increasing political division and widening of the Overton Window in Simerican politics. As the moderate parties shrank, the extreme options grew, and, to the detriment of democracy in Simerica, the SNP grew the most.
  +
  +
In May of 2031, Visari met with Captain Radec to discuss creating a separate armed paramilitary from the Blackshirts. This was largely due to its size. The Blackshirts in the beginning may have resembled a private army, but by the 2030s the vast majoritiy of its members were, simply put, drunken street brawlers. Radec identified the best sharpshooters and most ideologically loyal within the best divisions of the Blackshirts, then, with Visari's direction, created the Praetorian Guard. Unlike the Blackshirts, whose average member was mostly seen in a black turtle neck sweater, the Praetorian Guard wore uniforms with rank emblems, decoratons, and military caps. They carried AK-47s, sidearms, and combat knives, much to the dismay of the Blackshirt rabble who were armed with nothing but their fists or any weapons they might happen to own. They were made the personal security force of Scolar Visari, with all his residential guards being integrated as well.
  +
  +
Command of the Blackshirts was passed to the former Lieutenant of the group, James Corbett. Corbett was well-known for participating in the antics of the BPS, which made him popular amongst its members, but held in contempt by the Party elite, including Scolar Visari. Nonetheless, Visari considered it necessary for him to be in the leadership of the Blackshirts, perhaps, in a twisted way, foreshadowing what was to come.
  +
  +
Visari announced also the same month that he was running for President in the 2032 Elections, and announced his running mate to be Philip Lucero, Vice Chairman of the SNP and a Senator as well. The Visari/Lucero ticket attracted worldwide attention, as the SNP was now a major Party in the Senate, and it was in the realm of possibility that Visari could win enough votes in the divided political landscape to be elected. As Visari gave his most fiery speeches of his career around the country, the growing socio-economic instability was reaching a breaking point. Major cities were flooded with homeless and hungry Simericans who watched as Visari and other candidates all presented their solutions to their problems.
  +

  +
Yet, none but Scolar Visari seemed to have answers. He promised them that not only would the economy return to normal and they would get their jobs back, but he also promised them that Simerica would never have to rely on another nation ever again. This idea worked brilliantly, as after the FIW most Simericans favored an isolationist standpoint, and distrust of foreigners was high. Khage Stahl publically endorsed Visari for President--up until this point, only his son Jorhan had publically been a member of the SNP. At a massive rally in November 2031, the famous "Road to Victory" rally occured, in which Visari made a famous speech asking for four years to restore the Simerican nation.
  +
  +
During the campaign season, violence from the Blackshirts increased substantially. Yet in the background lurked the Praetorian Guard, whose newly dubbed Prefect Radec was in the beginnings of gathering a list of names of politicians, media figures and private citizens who had opposed the SNP and their rise. The 2032 Campaign Season was perfect for this, as it was the most divided the country had been yet, and everyone of importance who spoke out against Visari did so very publically. Yet, many of these names were people within the SNP itself. Visari was already premeditating his first actions when he would come to power. The PG gathered some attention, as they were always present when Visari spoke and ran security at the events, but given the extreme likelihood that someone would try to assassinate Visari, most people dismissed them as necessary.

  +
The night of the election, Visari and his closest associates traveled to San Myshuno, where they watched the election live at a dinner party. As the night progressed, it was first announced that the SNP had swept over five hundred races, capturing a majority of the Senate. This news was reacted to with violence in some parts of the country and celebrations in others.
  +
  +
By 11:00, it was clear Scolar Visari had triumphed in the 2032 Presidential Election, securing some 53% of the popular vote, reflecting SNP gains in the Senate. Visari delivered a brief speech before the gala, and then departed home for Windenburg where, during the Presidential campaign, Visari in anticipation of a victory had paid for the construction of a Presidential Palace on Windenburg's Crumbling Isle. The SNP had bought out the historic Von Windenburg Estate, and bulldozed the historic residence to build Visari's seat of power. Visari Palace was opened the day after Election Day, 2032.

  +
Visari was inaugurated on January 7th, 2033, not on the steps of the Simerican Capitol but in the courtyard of his new Palace at the Crumbling Isle. The Senate would remain in San Myshuno, while Visari and the executive branch of the Simerican government would move to Windenburg. The move was, partly, due to the fact that San Myshuno had been too easy to lay siege to by sea during the First Intercontinental War. Windenburg was a coastal city, but its rocky shores would make any attack by sea daring to say the least. However, Windenburg was also the SNP's birth place, and the city was a stronghold of support for them. Visari would be safe in his capital.
  +
  +
The period of Visari's rule in which he held the title of President was marked by the most moderate period in terms of actual action by the goverment. There were however some initial major changes. To start, Visari in his first week in office nationalized all coal, oil, and gas companies in the Republic. He then directed their resources towards an immediate change towards green, renewable energy. Visari's idea of Autarchy "relies on Simerica's energy independence" according to Jorhan Stahl.
  +
  +
Behind the scenes, however, Visari was making major moves towards securing more permanent power. The Senate was controlled firmly with over half the seats held by SNP politicians. Visari now had free and unchecked reign, he just needed an excuse to use it. At a Palace Party in July 2034, Visari, Radec and James Corbett excused themselves to Visari's office, where the three talked for several hours. The exact content of the conversation is lost to history, but it generally revolved around Corbett pressuring Visari to allow the Blackshirts to become the official Simerican Army. This resulted in an argument, and Corbett leaving the Palace for his home in Willow Creek.
  +
The July Plot
  +
On July 29th, 2034, hundreds of armed men stormed into the Senate building in the early hours of the morning, wearing Blackshirt uniform. They occupied the building for fourteen hours before they were pushed out by the Simerican National Guard and the Praetorian Guard. During the extensive firefight, those inside the building made repeated demands that Scolar Visari be removed from power as he had "betrayed the Revolution." As the Senate building was cleared and hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage had to be repaired, the country was thrown into a political crisis.
  +
  +
On August 1st, the Praetorian Guard and Simerican Intelligence Agency published a joint dossier report detailing that, allegedly, James Corbett and other high figures in the Blackshirt Paramilitary had been plotting against Scolar Visari, Philip Lucero and the Senate. The plotters allegedly sought to place Corbett in power, who would make the Blackshirts the official Simerican army. Whether or not this was true, it gave Visari the pretext he wanted.

  +

  +
On August 2nd, on a national broadcast, Scolar Visari announced that Article 15 of the Simerican Constitution would be invoked, effective immediately, and that emergency powers had been invested in him by the Senate until further notice. Visari announced that there would be a new order in Simerica, and that his dream would finally be realized. He announced that the Presidency would be abolished; in its place, he would take the position of Autarch, and rule with authority over the Senate, not equal to it.
  +
  +
The Senate, that very day, also passed a resolution, which Visari immediately passed into law, banning all political parties other than the Simerican National Party, effectively turning the Republic into a One Party State. All non-SNP Senators were given the choice: Join the Party and keep their seats, or resign. Under the direction of Philip Lucero, who was presiding over the chamber as Deputy Autarch, those who chose to resign were led out of the room by members of the Praetorian Guard, and were later shot. The seats that were left empty were replaced by SNP loyalists, personally appointed by Visari over the next months.
  +
  +
Shortly after 11:00, Prefect Radec and other members of the Praetorian Guard closed in on the home of James Corbett. Radec himself apparently broke down the door and led the men into Corbett's bedroom. He was woken up by the men, made to get dressed, and then taken out back and shot. The Blackshirts were drastically reduced in size in the months after this, with many of their members leaving the organization in favor of the Army.

The New Order
  +

  +
Visari's ascension to the position of Autarch effectively made him Dictator in perpetuity. With the position, he was enabled to pass legislation directly, without the approval of the Senate being necessary. Visari used this power liberally, passing hundreds of bills into law in his first six months as Autarch. Visari appointed William Orlock, a lifelong friend and by now an Officer in the army, to the position of Chief of Staff. Despite not having achieved the rank of General, Orlock had gained attention for his army reform plans, and Visari's friendship with him made it easier to achieve his position.
  +
  +
The Simerican Military now became the Simerican Defense Force, and began to conscript past the 100,000 limit set by the Treaty of Paris. A Naval Plan was implemented as well, authorizing the construction of five new aircraft carriers, with the flagship being dubbed the SSS Scolar Visari in the Autarch's honor.
  +
  +
Simerican Cultural Revolution
  +
The Simerican Cultural Revolution was a term coined by Jorhan Stahl to describe Scolar Visari's plans for a cultural rebirth in Simerica. This began with Visari's plan of expanding the Simerican population, which he incentivized by giving substantial tax relief to married couples whose union produced four or more children. This caused for the Simerican birthrate to triple in the years before the Second Intercontinental War.
  +
  +
The Simerican Senate in May 2035 passed the National Rebirth Act, which brought many changes to Simerican society. The government denounced secular rule, and adopted Roman Catholicism as the state religion of Simerica. The borders were closed, immigration shut off entirely. It was still possible to leave and enter Simerica if you were a citizen as you pleased, but non-citizens weren't allowed entry without government approval.
  +
  +
Visari completely transformed life in Simerica, from birth until death. All aspects of society were penetrated by his regime. College Deans and Professors were replaced by members of the Party. The SNP greeting of "Hail Visari!" was made compulsory. The flag of the country was changed to the triad banner, the national anthem changed to The Flag On High, the anthem of the SNP. Visari's image was plastered across the country and statues of him erected in every city center.
  +
  +
Aspects of Simerican culture that were deemed "degenerate" or "counter-revolutionary" by the Visari government were clamped down on by the Simerican Intelligence Agency, who now acted more as a secret police than an intelligence agency. Citizens that spoke out against Visari or the regime were quietly removed, given show trials and lengthy prison sentences. Political prisoners were frequently tortured, sometimes by Radec himself, and even Visari's own son, Kane, took part in torture during his teenage years.
  +
  +
Visari's government controlled all media outlets, all film companies, any and all information the Simerican people viewed or read was filtered through his propaganda machine.

The Second Intercontinental War
  +
  +
Invasion of Sulani (Operation Tidalwave)
  +
At the 2036 SNP National Convention, Visari made the claim in his speech that the independent island nation of Sulani would rightfully belong to any true Simerican state. This statement was controversial, as Simerica had been attempting to influence the island nation since before the First Intercontinental War.
  +
  +
Three years later, on September 1st, 2039, without warning, Visari ordered that several detachments of Simerican Praetorian Guard land and secure beach-heads along the southern islands of Sulani. Two hours later, a main Simerican invasion force arrived. Overrunning the entire island chain in just twelve hours, Simerican forces occupied Sulani and its government fled into exile.
  +
  +
The move sent shockwaves of anger and controversy around the world. The United Nations only a day after the invasion ordered Visari recall his armies from Sulani, or face a coalition against him. Visari, in a speech, declared that he would halt any foreign invasion, and defeat Simerica's enemies no matter the cost. As a result, on September 3rd, Britain, France, the United States, and Russia declared war on Simerica.
  +
  +
The Quiet War
  +
The initial months of the Second Intercontinental War were marked by a massive propaganda effort by both sides, but very few armed engagements. Those that did happen happened at sea. Simerica's new fleet managed to hold off enemy strike forces, but there were doubts about its ability to repel a full scale invasion fleet.
  +
  +
Visari continued to make threats towards the Allied Powers, saying that he was not afraid to use Simerica's nuclear arsenal if the need arose. This resulted in more heavier sanctions, but due to Simerica's Autarchy, it affected them very little. Simerica's military surprised Allied intelligence, who were baffled by the fact the Simericans had equipped their military with technology that was oftentimes better than its Allied counterpart.
  +
  +
A major event did occur in this period, however, in the sinking of three United States carriers by the Simerican flagship carrier, the SSS Scolar Visari. This was a moment of great national pride for the Simericans, so much so that the Scolar Visari was recalled to port in Myshuno and greeted by thousands of cheering citizens. Visari himself visited the crew, congratulating them personally in a highly televised event.
  +
  +
Allied Invasion of Sulani (Operation Counterstrike)
  +

  +
In early May, 2040, Allied forces moved a large invasion fleet into the waters south of Sulani, engaging Simerican submarines and patrols along the way, and landing on the northern island of Mua Pel'am. Simerican occupying forces fought intense jungle warfare over the next week, but by August 1st had been mostly repelled from the island. The Allies attempted to keep the momentum going and push on west to Lani St. Taz, but the Simericans had heavily fortified it and Ohan'ali with coastal forts, artillery batteries and anti-aircraft weaponry. Simerican seeking missiles were capable of striking an enemy jet out of the sky, 50 miles out.
  +
  +
The SDF was more than capable of holding out against Allied Forces, having trapped them in the jungles of Mua Pel'am. The Simerican Air Force repeatedly carpet bombed the jungle island, eliminating Allied supply routes and fortifications throughout the jungle. It was not until over a year later in the fall of 2041 that a concentrated push to Lani St. Taz could be made.
  +
  +
When the Allies landed in Lani St. Taz, they were first met by Simerican infantry forces on the ground, heavily entrenched along the beaches. After managing to capture the beach head with heavy casualties, they were advanced upon by a division of the Praetorian Guard. Last minute reinforcements allowed for the Allies to overpower PG forces, and by September the SDF was evacuating from the island to Ohan'ali.
  +
  +
Ohan'ali was much more secure than Lani St. Taz. It had become the administrative center of Simerican Occupied Sulani. Visari had appointed Owen Lucero, the son of his Deputy Autarch, as Military Governor of Sulani. Lucero's policies reflected those of his father and of Visari, cruelly stamping out Partisans fighting against the Simericans in the region. Lucero's treatment of the native Sulani people would become the catalyst for the formation of the Sulani Liberation Army in the early 2050s.
  +
  +
As a result of its political and military significance, the SDF refused to allow the Allies to capture it. Visari shipped thousands of more reinforcements to the island, and multiple more divisions of the Praetorian Guard. The Allies made multiple attempts to land on the island, but never managed to capture it before the end of the war.
  +
  +
Status Quo (2041 - 2043)
For three years, the lines did not move. While fierce fighting continued in the skies above Sulani and even Simerica itself, and intense naval warfare saw the SSS Scolar Visari become something of a boogeyman to the British and American Navies. During this time, however, Windenburg itself was rarely threatened by Allied forces, heavily defended by the most elite of Simerica's forces. As a result, Visari continued to live comfortably in his palace.
  +
  +
In early 2042, Atticus Batiste, the Simerican Environmental Minister, who was credited with getting the entire country on clean energy, mysteriously died. Visari threw a state funeral for him and called him a hero of the Simerican nation. British Intellience reports suggest, however, that Batiste was assassinated, likely by a member of the Visari family.
  +
  +
In his private life, Scolar Visari during the early years of the Second Intercontintal War had become aware of his secondborn son, Kane, having a drug problem. Visari reportedly spent resources covering up his sons public intoxication, and lectured him numerous times privately on the subject. In 2040, he forbade his family from making any kind of public appearance until the end of the war. It is possible Visari did this out of fear they would be assassinated.
  +
  +
Despite the Status Quo, and Simerican propaganda touting constant news of victories, the Allies continued to make breakthroughs at sea. While the Scolar Visari itself had eluded their fleets, they had began to deal serious blows against Simerican submarine groups and the Simerican Fleet. The Allies began to, slowly but surely, turn the tide at sea, and by the end of 2043, a strike at the Simerican mainland was a realistic scenario.

Allied Invasion of Simerica (Operation Archangel II)
  +
On June 6th, 2044, the United States, United Kingdom, France and Canada executed mass naval landings at several beach-heads across the Simerican coast. Scolar Visari vowed on public broadcast that the Simericans would "smite the invaders with the wrath of God." Despite heavy resistance from Simerican forces, the Praetorian Guard and what was left of the Blackshirts, the Allies managed to secure beach-heads at Willow Creek, San Myshuno, and several points east and west of Windenburg.
  +
  +
On June 7th, Allied Carriers off the coast of Windenburg began to deploy bombers and fighters to attack the city. They were met by heavy resistance from the Simerican Air Force, as well as long-range anti-aircraft weapons stationed in and outside the city. The SAF repelled them at heavy cost, but the Battle of Windenburg was a Simerican victory, and an Allied landing was prevented. The Imperial Palace was not damaged, though some parts of the city were devastated, becoming a propaganda tool for the Simericans.
  +
  +
Despite Visari holding the enemy off at Windenburg, Allied Forces managed to secure Willow Creek and much of San Myshuno under their occupation. This resulted in them pushing back Simerican defenders and creating an actual frontline within Simerica, over the course of the next months. The Allies came to occupy about a quarter of the Simerican Republic.

On January 9th, 2045, Simerican Defense Forces and the Simerican Praetorian Guard executed a joint offensive across several points along the frontlines, in a move called Operation Firestorm, devised by none other than the Military Chief of Staff, William Orlock. Firestorm was a decisive success, and within two months the SDF had encircled and then massacred some 1,000,000 troops total, dealing a devastating blow to the Allies. By April, the Simerican continent had been re-occupied, and the only resistance the SDF now faced was Allied Forces and Partisans fighting a brutal jungle war in Sulani.

Final Victory
  +
On April 30th, 2045, Scolar Visari issued a public letter to the Allied High Command, stating that they had been defeated beyond any comparable margin, and their forces had been utterly and completely decimated by the SDF. He offered them a peace of Status Quo Antibellum, the Simerican State would create an administration in Southern Sulani while Northern Sulani would remain independent. On May 5th, the Allies reluctantly agreed, and a peace deal was soon signed.

  +
This news was met by intense euphoria from the Simerican population, who now followed Visari unquestionably. He had brought them the victory he had promised. The enemies of the regime, however, were never more suppressed. Visari declared that for one year, the country was in celebration of its triumph.

Death of Alice Visari
  +
On October 7th, 2045, Alice Visari, the reclusive First Lady of the Simerican Republic died, leaving Scolar Visari widowed. Her funeral was held privately, and her remains interred at an undisclosed location. The Autarch did not appear publicly for several months following this.
  +
  +
The circumstances surrounding Alice's death have long been up for debate. The Simerican government never officially released Alice's cause of death, leading to speculation and foreign intelligence prying into the situation. What was revealed was that, since the early 2020s, Alice had battled a cocaine addiction, and had overdosed. This information was kept secret from the Simerican public, but made headlines in many foreign countries.
  +
  +
Visari first re-appeared to the public in a video public statement, congratulating his son Julius in March of 2046 on being married to Simerican Actress Sara Osborn.

  +
Marriage to Alexandra Clayton
  +
Visari surprised everyone on April 7th, 2046 when he announced to the world he had married Alexandra Clayton, a Simerican model and businesswoman. Clayton was seventeen years Visari's junior. Alexandra moved into the Autarch's Palace in late April, and was immediately a much more present First Lady than Alice. She appeared on Simerican talk shows regularly, made trips around the country, and was a vocal advocate for charity. She began to be loved by the people. Even those that despised Scolar Visari behind closed doors still loved Alexandra.
  +
  +
It seemed to be no surprise when, just a few months after their marriage, Alexandra was rumored to be pregnant. The two confirmed the pregnancy in a rare interview in October of that year, and confirmed they were having a boy. Tiberian Visari was born on February 10th, 2047.<br />

Coronation
  +
On Christmas Eve, 2046, the Simerican Senate published in concordance with the SDF High Command a proclamation that Scolar Visari had proven himself beyond that of just a President or an Autarch. He had demonstrated, according to them, an ability unlike any other to lead, and must be given the power worthy of such a person. They invited him to be coronated on Winterfest as the first Emperor of the Simerican Empire. Visari agreed.
  +
  +
A massive parade was held in Windenburg celebrating the Emperor's ascension to power. At 7:00, a ceremony began in which Visari was proclaimed Emperor by William Orlock, who then saluted him and pledged the loyalty of the Senate, People, and Armed Forces of Simerica. Visari appeared dressed not as a statesman, but a lavish monarch. The crown of Simerica was designed by Jorhan Stahl, and the crown jewel was a brilliant ruby, the national gemstone of Simerica during Visari's regime.
  +
  +
Reactions around the world to Visari's ascension to the position of Emperor were heated. During the Autarchy, there was still a maintained illusion that the Senate still held political power in the Republic. Now, the Senate was merely an extension of Visari's will, a glorified council of advisors. Democracy came to a permanent and true end in Simerica. Now, from birth til death the Simerican people were taught of the godlike glory of their Emperor, Visari.
  +
  +
Scolar adopted the Latin moniker of Scolarvs Avgvstvs Visaricvs, setting the standard for all Simerican Emperors following him to also take honorary Latin titles.

  +
The decades following the Simerican victory in the Second Intercontinental War saw a mass reconstruction across the country, generating a booming economy. Visari went in full drive, planning five year plans in all aspects of the Simerican economy in order to bring about a totally functioning Autarchy state.
  +
  +
The government also went about rebuilding cities in new, "Imperial" fashions. Triumphal arcs and columns became common, an ampitheater was constructed in Windenburg, becoming known as the "Scolarian Coliseum". All this was done to create an image that the Simerican Empire was the next great power of the world.
  +
  +
By 2050, Scolar's second son, Kane, had begun to become a recurring figure in his public appearances and in Simerican politics. Kane and his brother had both been declared Princes of the Simerican Empire upon their father's ascension to the throne, but neither had been publicly announced as heir. Even before he was officially declared the heir, Kane began to have much speculation around his figure, as he appeared to be much closer to his father than his brother.
  +
  +
In September 2057, the only officially authorized biography of Scolar Visari (excluding Simerica Tomorrow), entitled IMPERATOR, which also had no official author but is suspected to have been written by Simerican Intelligence Director Albert Kincaid, was published in the Simerican Empire and in 2058 was published globally. Like many other things based around Visari's life to emerge from the Simerican Empire, it is heavily propagandized and outright lies about Visari's early and personal life in many areas. Nonetheless, it became required reading for Simerican High School students, meaning that all future Simerican generations would know of their first Emperor.

In the early 2060s, Visari's last remaining public appearances ceased to occur, all being filled by various members of his family. Visari appeared at the Simerican Christmas service in the Capitol in 2066, marking 20 years of the Empire, appearing thinner and paler than before, sparking international discussions about his health. Behind the scenes, in late 2064 Visari was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, and doctors were doing everything in their power to extend the Emperor's life. Visari, who had reportedly lost his sanity by the end of the 2050s, was constantly convinced of enemies lurking around every corner, and was terrified of death, frequently having psychotic breakdowns after his diagnosis.
  +
  +
Within Visari's court, as the Emperor's condition grew worse, internal factions began to form. Kane Visari, the Emperor's first son, was designated to succeed him upon death. However, Scolar's second wife, Alexandra, had a turbulent relationship with Kane, and was also currently the Empress of the Empire. Kane had concerns that Alexandra intended to put her son, Tiberian, on the throne, which were not unfounded. This resulted in the Praetorian Guard siding with Kane, and Alexandra seeking allies in the Senate.
  +
  +
By 2070, it was clear the dictator turned Emperor was not long for this world. In anticipation of this, Kane and other high ranking members of the Empire's autocracy took the liberty of writing Visari's last will and testament for him, which gave Kane his father's position upon his death, among a number of other changes, such as ordering the removal of many of Kane's political enemies.

Scolar Visari (20 April 1989 - 14 October 2073) was a Politician, Author, and later Emperor of the Simerican Empire.

Visari was born in Willow Creek, but spent most of his childhood in Brindleton Bay. In 2008, he moved to San Myshuno, and in 2013 enlisted in the military. Shortly after, in 2014, the First Intercontinental War broke out, which sent Visari off to war, but he was wounded in 2018, shortly before the war ended. After the war, he joined the Worker's Nationalist Party, but by 2021 was the Chairman of the Party. He changed its name to the Simerican National Party, and in 2033 became President of Simerica. In 2034, he changed his title to Autarch (from Greek: Autarkos, literally "Supreme Ruler") and in 2046 declared himself Emperor.

Visari's rise to power was largely accelerated by the loss of Simerica in the FIW, as well as economic downturn after the crash of 2019. Visari blamed large corporations alongside racial and religious minorities in the country. This rhetoric continued into his term as President and later Emperor, when he ordered the first Work Camp to be opened at Morau, just outside of Oasis Spring.

He was key in instigating the beginning of the Second Intercontinental War, after invading the islands of Sulani. By 2046, the war was all but won, and Visari declared himself Emperor on Winterfest in 2046, a post he retained until his death.

Visari's death in 2073 resulted in his son, Kane Visari becoming Emperor, a dynasty which continues today.

Early Life[]

Visari was born on April 20th, 1989, to Henry and Rene Visari. He was the first of a set of twins, his sister being named Lin. Henry Visari was in manual labor, and a vocal advocate for Unions. By all accounts, he was a Syndicalist, which later influenced Scolar's hatred of left wing politics. His mother was a teacher, a post Visari respected. In 1991, Henry uprooted his family and moved them to a suburban house in Brindleton Bay, where the twin children would spend the remainders of their childhood.

Henry was, as described by Scolar in his memoirs, as well as by other accounts, a violent alcoholic. He would frequently beat Scolar and neglect Lin, even as young as 4. Rene, in turn, spoiled Scolar and attempted to protect him, which focused all her attention away from Lin. She later commented, "I have grown up the forgotten child" in her diary when she was around 17.

Due to his strict father, Scolar found little to no safety in his home life. A minor mistake would result in being verbally or physically abused, which no doubt had an impact of Visari's mental state. One incident that made an impact on Scolar was an occasion when, at only 4 years old, Visari was locked out of the house overnight by his father, but his mother went behind Henry's back and let him back in after only a couple hours.

In 1992, after what most historians believe was a drunken rape, Rene Visari fell pregnant with their third child. Juno was born in early 1993. She experienced little to none of her father's physical abuse, which Scolar greatly envied.

Young Scolar was prone to angry outbursts, oftentimes violent. He would bite, hit, and scream at his twin sister and parents alike. His father would respond to this with severe, strict punishment, whereas his mother was much more tender. She would oftentimes take Scolar's side even if he was obviously in the wrong. From a very young age, Scolar was told he would be a great man and do big things. Some historians attribute this to his megalomania later in life.

Scolar and Lin began Kindergarten in 1994. In contrast to his sister, who was well behaved, Scolar would bully other children, was frequently given disciplinary action, and sometimes sent home. This infuriated Henry, who punished him severely.

School Years and Adolescence[]

Visari's schooling career was nothing spectacular. He was a lazy student, unmotivated, and studied very little. His teachers frequently commented on his ability to put in as much little work as was necessary to pass, but never truly "fail" a class. During recesses he would play war games with the other boys, where he was always in charge. He was viewed as bossy by his peers, but the other schoolyard bullies couldn't help but follow him. Visari would find himself in mischievous company, however. He was caught smoking a cigarette one day behind the school, but he was forgiven and never punished.

The home Scolar Visari moved into after his parents divorce.

An event of note occurred one night after Visari came home from a bad day at school. He was met by his father in the kitchen, and the two had an altercation, which led to Visari's father slapping him across the face, much to the horror of Rene and Lin, who were in the same room. He was left with a large bruise on the side of his face and eye. This caused for Rene to come to Scolar's aid, and she and Henry argued for several hours, and at points it allegedly became violent. The last straw came when Henry began to physically abuse Rene as well. The Visari's were a Catholic family in Scolar's childhood, and so Rene had to plead to the church requesting a divorce. The request was granted, and Rene took her three children and left Henry alone in the old house.

9 year old Scolar, his sisters and mother moved to the south side of town, to a much smaller house. The house felt incredibly cramped with the amount of people, as it was only a 2 bedroom home. The Visari's began living paycheck to paycheck, and Rene had to sell many possessions to get by. Scolar's behavior in school also declined, as he began getting in fights and hanging out with the school bullies.

Despite his difficulties both at home and school, by the turn of the millennium Scolar had made a small circle of friends. This began when a neighborhood kid invited Scolar to hang out. He recalled in his memoirs later in life that he'd struggled to make friends, but eventually began to get by. Around 2001, Scolar made friends with one of his friends older brothers, who sold drugs, and Scolar began to smoke cigarettes and marijuana. He would later sell drugs himself in his teenage years and possibly into adulthood.

On September 10th, 2004, Scolar Visari's father, Henry, was found dead in his home. He was killed by a single gunshot wound to his forehead. The assassination style killing was investigated, but police never managed to uncover any leads. To the present day, the murder remains unsolved. Conspiracy theorists have suggested Scolar may have had a role in the killing, but it is pure speculation, and there is evidence both for and against such. Despite this, Scolar was never considered a suspect by Brindleton Bay Police.

2008 - 2014[]

Image 2021-11-07 110408

After graduating from High School in 2007, Visari made the move to San Myshuno the next year, looking for work, and managed to find a place to live in the northern end of the city, where he stayed until he enlisted in 2013. He held down a retail job, and spent much of his time when he wasn't working at his apartment or in the various bars and coffee shops around the city. The late 2000s and early 2010s saw a great cultural explosion in the city, with new institutions, art exhibitions, and a booming economy, as well as a various array of new political ideas and theories. It is during this time, some have posited, that Visari may have been radicalized by right wing figures.

In the early 2010s, tensions were rising internationally due to a number of trade disputes, as well as Simerica's desire to exert its influence upon the island nation of Sulani. In 2011, the Sulani Dictator Miko Pajavo'ole was overthrown in a coup d'état following years of unrest, which gave way for an opening to install a government friendly to the Simerican Republic.

These foreign disputes and events were widely covered by Simerican media, with sensationalism and rumors of a coming war being broadcasted to the entire population. By 2013, Visari had made up his mind, and enlisted in November. He attended basic training in Strangerville, and was sent to base outside Willow Creek, near the western coastline.

On June 28 of 2014, a confrontation between a Simerican convoy and a French Carrier resulted in the convoy being destroyed and hundreds of Simerican citizens and soldiers dead. Despite that the French Carrier's logs showing the Simericans had in fact instigated the event, there was a public outrage in Simerica and demands for revenge. Surely enough, the next day the Simerican Senate drafted a list of demands that, if they were not met, would mean war. Germany, Italy, and Spain pledged their support to Simerica, while Britain, Russia and the United States sided with France. Surely enough, the demands were not met by the deadline, and war broke out.

The First Intercontinental War[]

Battle of Willow Creek[]

Scolar Visari was deployed to Willow Creek, where enemy forces had landed and pushed into the suburbs. Simerican forces were entrenched, fighting street to street and attempting to hold as much as possible. Fighting soon dragged to a stalemate, and a painful one. As forces entrenched, the town became battered and torn by artillery fire and bombing runs.

Visari found the Army to be much to his liking, especially during wartime, writing in his memoirs that he never felt truly at home until he was at the front. The blood and death didn't seem to phase Visari, with his comrades saying he went about it as if it was a game.

In late 2015, Visari was tasked with running a message to a nearby command post, as all radio and phone lines had long been cut. Along the way, he was ambushed by two French soldiers and an Officer, managing to kill them and deliver the message unscathed. His commanding officers were impressed by his bravery, and he was awarded the Knight's Cross for his efforts.

Home Visit[]

By 2016, the situation for Simerica had started to become dire.

Battle of San Myshuno[]

San myshuno in flames

By Winter of 2017, enemy forces began to threaten San Myshuno. Many units were recalled to defend the capital, one of which was Visari's. The Simerican Air Force had been lacking for much of the war, and during the Battle of San Myshuno it suffered a critical defeat, opening up the city for bombing raids by American and British air forces.

April 13th, 2018, American, British, French, and Russian forces executed mass landings in the harbor of San Myshuno, as part of their planned Operation Archangel. Intense street-to-street fighting began, with Visari himself taking part in the intense, dug in fight for the city's Central Park. As the battle for the capital continued, the Simerican Senate passed Resolution 201 on June 1st, 2018, nearly four years after the beginning of the war, mandating no-surrender, no-peace, no-cooperation with enemy occupying forces for both military and civilians within the city. This came as much of the north end of the city past the blown bridges over the River Corinth had been occupied. As a result, the Simerican army and Partisans fought a brutal battle to defend their city, and every inch had to be taken with force. The Simericans managed to halt the enemy from reaching the upper tier of the city, but the desolation as vast,

Visari, whose unit had at this point been pushed back into the outskirts of the city center, was determined to do everything in his power to stop the enemy. Visari wrote in his memoirs that during the Battle of San Myshuno, he felt as if the world was collapsing around him, and that he and the other men with him were on a mission from God to save their country.

Injury and the End of the War[]

Visari was injured in early October, 2018, when an enemy bomb detonated less than 200 feet from Visari. He was not killed or dismembered, but shrapnel embedded in his leg, preventing him from walking. A medic saved his life, and he was sent to San Myshuno General Hospital in the unoccupied part of the city. The Hospital was understaffed and overcrowded, but doctors nonetheless managed to save Visari's leg and his life. Lance Corporal Scolar Visari was honorably discharged from the Army as a wounded soldier, and sent home.

Visari was eager to get back to the front, even if he had to fight as a Partisan, but before he could recover enough, on November 11th, 2018, the Simerican Senate signed an armistice with occupying enemy governments, as the pressure had become too much to maintain on Simerica's economy, and starvation was rampant. Visari was devastated, and was said to have thrown a tantrum when he was told the war was over.

The Treaty of London was signed by the Simerican Government, forcing them to pay massive war reparations to the victors, as well as limiting their army to less than 100,000 personnel, and many other terms and conditions the general Simerican populace deemed "unacceptable" in a 2019 poll. Visari found himself, his girlfriend and his infant son now living paycheck to paycheck in a devastated economy.

Early Interwar Period[]

Visari returned to a semi-normal life for the first year after the war. He worked a regular day job and managed to keep his apartment, partially thanks to the fact he and his girlfriend both were working for it. He spent much of his free time held up in his apartment, suffering from depression and post-traumatic stress. Despite this, he improved his relationship with his girlfriend and son, and in October 2019 proposed to her. Alice Kim and Scolar Visari were wed in a private ceremony on November 21st, 2019, with Visari's childhood friend, Daniel Peterson, attending as witness. Just five days later, his second son, Kane, was born.

Visari, his wife and children made the move to Windenburg just a week and a half after the wedding, and purchased their new home only days before the economic crash of 2019.

Rise to Power[]

The Worker's Nationalist Party[]

I remember the desolate streets of Myshuno after the crash. So much loss. People lost their jobs, their homes, their loved ones. How was this possible? Why did the people in power allow this to happen? Why won't someone do something? Why won't I do something? - Scolar Visari, "Simerica Tomorrow"

Just before Christmas of 2019, Simerica's economy crashed, which resulted in millions of Simericans losing their jobs, their homes, and the Simoleon began to hyperinflate due to excessive printing of money. Visari and his wife struggled to make ends meet, but managed to keep their jobs, if only narrowly.

Visari spent the year 2020 gaining support with key figures within the party. He began speaking at their public meetings in a local bar, debating and showing exceptional charisma and skill at speaking to a crowd. The Party's membership slowly began to grow, as Visari began to attract a crowd. Many locals in Windenburg had been hit hard by the depression, and Visari promised them that there would be a recovery.

At a Party function in May, attended by all the WNP's leading figures, Visari bumped into Jorhan Stahl, son and heir to Khage Stahl, a wealthy industrialist. The two were quick to get along. Stahl told Visari that while his Party didn't have any kind of widespread support, it was well known locally, and his father had caught wind of Visari. Stahl said it was just the cause he and his father were willing to sponsor, as he'd been impressed by a speech he'd seen Visari give.

Triad Banner

The three arrows of the Simerican Triad Banner represent the Nationalist tenets of Duty, Obedience and Loyalty.

Stahl Armaments Company began donating financially to the WNP, giving them enough money to spread their message and get membership off the ground. With new wealth and assets, the Party was able to organize bigger events for Visari, by now their main speaker at these rallies, and appointed the Director of Information & Social Media, to speak at. Visari used social media and technology to his advantage, running an online canvassing operation like no other. As a result, his message could spread around the country much quicker.

Visari met Khage Stahl personally at a Christmas Party in 2020. He became a mentor to Visari, advising him over the course of the next few weeks on how to change the Party's image, which he was in position to do as its Information Director. Visari shaved his head, in order to have a more immediate and recogizable image, and, with Stahl's input, created the symbol of Simerican Nationalism: The Triad Banner.

Visari giving a speech

Over the course of the next months, Visari toured the country, delivering fiery speeches on college campuses, in crowded beer halls, and auditoriums. Nearly every event was sold out, which helped fund the Party and its activities further. Khage began to prop up Scolar as the "savior" to the Nationalist cause.

After delivering a speech at the Del Sol Valley Arena to nearly 20,000 spectators on July 29th, 2021, Visari reportedly got into a dispute with then-Chairman of the WNP, Adam Dressler, and another high ranking member of the Party. The argument stemmed from Visari's move towards more radical right-wing rhetoric, whereas Dressler was a more conventional Populist. The argument resulted in Visari threatening to walk out and leave the Party. He was talked down by Jorhan Stahl and Philip Lucero, but he then said he would only stay if Dressler turned the Party over to him. In a unanimous vote, the Committee of the Party on the spot appointed Visari as the new Chairman of the Party.

The Simerican National Party[]

Over the next months, Visari reshaped the Party to fit his image entirely. It now entirely centered around him, and his wishes. The heads of the Party were quick to fall in line with his goals, as they recognized his image was gaining increasing popularity. In August 2021 he renamed the Party to the Simerican National Party, with the aims of having a more easily recognizable name. Whether or not it worked, the SNP by the end of 2021 had reached just over 500,000 members nationally, with chapters in nearly every province.

Visari appointed many future key players to his National Committee, restructuring it entirely to fit his needs. He began to speak in more places around the country in the winter of 2021, returning home to Windenburg after New Years Day, 2022.

The SNP gained a media presence nationally, being covered from time to time for their activities by mainstream media outlets, which helped add some flame to the fire. Visari's words were on national television and all over the internet where anyone can see him and hear him. The SNP also launched their own online news outlet, owned by Jorhan Stahl, called The Guardsman. As a result, the SNP's membership began to increase at a greater pace, breaking one million in January 2022.

Assassination Attempt[]

On February 9th, 2022, Scolar Visari had just finished giving a speech at a public square in Windenburg, to thousands of spectators. As he was leaving the Square, a lone gunman fired a shot, missing Visari and killing a nearby Party Member instantly. Visari was safely escorted away from the Square, but a riot soon broke out, and before the situation could be brought under control, thirteen people were killed, dozens injured and hundreds of thousands of simoleons of property damage was caused. The incident gained national attention, and the SNP was quick to capitalize on it, with Visari himself claiming that he was just a man trying to protect the common people, and that a greater conspiracy was at play, trying to take him out of the picture. The assassination attempt gave way to public unrest nationwide, with various riots breaking out across the country.

The Blackshirts[]

April 20th, 2022, Visari's 33rd birthday, he published a Party Memo authorizing the creation of a lawfully-assembled militia, operating under the Party's direction, called the Blackshirt Protection Squadron. The Blackshirts became an instant presence at SNP events, with its membership reaching 200,000 in the first two weeks. It became the largest civilian militia ever assembled in Simerican history. Their duties were to protect Visari, his family, party leadership and their families, and to act as security at Party functions. However, they were known to frequently engage in streetfights and intimidation against political opponents. The blackshirts were identified by their black turtle neck sweaters, and were known to travel in groups, engaging in violence against those who they deemed fit.

The Blackshirts were soon placed under the command of Captain Mael Radec, who himself began to reside with the Visari's in their home to lead the security detail there. Radec was quick to re-organize them, eliminating many of the disorganized elements and reforming them quickly into a true, bonafide armed force. Radec wasn't old enough to fight during the First Intercontinental War, and was eager to prove himself, undyingly loyal to Scolar Visari.

SIMERICA TOMORROW

The cover for Simerica Tomorrow, released in Simerica April 20th, 2023.

Simerica Tomorrow[]

In February 2023, Visari's third child, a daughter named Hera, was born. Two months later, on his 34th birthday, he released his book Simerica Tomorrow, a semi-autobiographical, semi-manifesto novel detailing Visari's early life, his political ideology, and his beliefs on how to implement it. He outlined and targeted certain ethnic groups, corporations and banks, and blamed them without evidence for Simerica's troubles.

The book was nearly instantly a bestseller in the Simerican Republic, and several countries abroad. The starving and embittered population were looking anywhere for answers, and Visari gave them to the people. His message was criticized by his detractors as extremist but praised by his followers as prophetic.

It was also with this books release that many of Visari's critics, both foreign and domestic, began to point out that a cult of personality was beginning to form around Visari, as the accounts of his early life and particularly his service during the First Intercontinental War that are portrayed in the book have been disputed, and largely rebuked as historically inaccurate. Brant Hecking, a chief editor for BuzzFeed Simerica called the book, "nothing but lies written by the SNP's Propaganda heads, propped up by Khage Stahl." Hecking was notoriously assaulted and beaten by several Blackshirts after this, which led to his resignation.

Simerica Tomorrow's release nonetheless created a massive public awareness of the SNP. In April 2023 the SNP's membership was estimated to be hovering somewhere around 1,250,000, and the next year it had skyrocketed to over 11,000,000. They went from being a fringe, right-wing party to being considered a major rising political faction. The major attention drawn to Visari resulted in his traveling around the country becoming increasingly common, and he began to move from speaking at local theaters to speaking to arenas.

Senator[]

Image 2021-11-27 120829

The Simerican Senate after the Elections of 2024.

The SNP continued to grow in popularity, becoming one of the larger "third-party" factions in Simerican politics. During the Post-War Republican era, the Senate had been dominated by the ruling Center-Conservative coalition, with the only real opposition to them being the Left-Center Green Party. In late 2023, Visari announced his intention to run for Senate, with over a hundred other SNP politicians nation-wide joining him soon after. Visari was predicted almost immediately after his announcement to be a sure victor in his race, Windenburg and its Province having long become an SNP stronghold.

As a result of this, Visari spent much of 2023 and 2024 campaigning on behalf of other SNP politicians, endorsing them at rallies across the country. On Election Day, 2024, Scolar Visari was elected as a Senator of the Simerican Republic, alongside 56 other SNP politicians from across the country. Despite this not being a large number of seats in the 1,000 member Senate, it still made the SNP the fourth largest Party in the body.

The SNP formed a Coalition with another far-right minor faction, the Simerica First Party, whose leader, Rick Nuentes, had been influencing Simerican politics on the right since the late 2010s, and had been involved in an incident in the Simerican Capitol in 2021. Despite the Coalition in the Senate, the two Parties' leadership clashed on numerous occasions, Nuentes being criticized as hiding behind optics, and "just being a general weasel" as one SNP politician put it.

Nuentes would continue to fall out of favor in the sphere of far-right politics, as more and more began to flock to Scolar Visari and the SNP. By the middle of 2026, the SFP had fallen into obscurity, with the SNP absorbing its voter base--and thensome.

Image 2021-11-27 124400

2028 Election[]

The Simerican Senate after the election of 2028.

It was also in 2028 that the Simerican Communist Party, the SNP's main rival faction, came into public conscience, winning 83 seats in the chamber.

Visari's Senate Seat was now vacant, due to his participation in the Presidential race, however, he got around this by having the Governor of Windenburg, an SNP politician and loyalist to Visari, appoint him to fill the empty seat, as to allow Visari to remain a Senator.

Fall of the Republic[]

The last years of the 2020s saw growing political and economic instability in the Simerican Republic. Riots and looting by both Communists and Blackshirts alike in the major cities became near constant throughout 2029 and 2030, all the while Visari and his propaganda team pinned it all on left-wing extremists seeking to destroy the Simerican nation. In the Summer of 2030, Visari called the first SNP National Convention, in which all of the Party leaders from every chapter across the country rallied in Windenburg to discuss the SNP's platform for the coming decade.

Image 2021-12-11 172713

Visari in a passionate speech during the 2032 Presidential Campaign.

Scolar Visari and Philip Lucero are caught reacting to news of Senate victories across the country in a photo by a reporter.

Initial Reforms[]

Visari preparing to be inaugurated, with his wife, second son, and many allies visible. Tens of thousands watched from outside the Palace, and nearly everyone in the country watched it live.

The July Plot[]

On July 29th, 2034, hundreds of armed men stormed into the Senate building in the early hours of the morning, wearing Blackshirt uniform. They occupied the building for fourteen hours before they were pushed out by the Simerican National Guard and the Praetorian Guard. During the extensive firefight, those inside the building made repeated demands that Scolar Visari be removed from power as he had "betrayed the Revolution." As the Senate building was cleared and hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage had to be repaired, the country was thrown into a political crisis.

The Night of the Red Blades[]

Image 2021-12-14 222804

Visari details the supposed July Plot in a national broadcast.

Autarchy (August 2nd, 2034 - December 25th, 2046)[]

The New Order[]

Image 2021-12-15 122955

Visari greeting his followers from the balcony of his Palace.

Simerican Cultural Revolution[]

The Simerican Cultural Revolution was a term coined by Jorhan Stahl to describe Scolar Visari's plans for a cultural rebirth in Simerica. This began with Visari's plan of expanding the Simerican population, which he incentivized by giving substantial tax relief to married couples whose union produced four or more children. This caused for the Simerican birthrate to triple in the years before the Second Intercontinental War.

Visari's government controlled all media outlets, all film companies, any and all information the Simerican people viewed or read was filtered through his propaganda machine.

Visari announces in a broadcast that Simerican forces have invaded the island of Sulani (September 1st, 2039).

The Second Intercontinental War[]

Invasion of Sulani (Operation Tidalwave)[]

At the 2036 SNP National Convention, Visari made the claim in his speech that the independent island nation of Sulani would rightfully belong to any true Simerican state. This statement was controversial, as Simerica had been attempting to influence the island nation since before the First Intercontinental War.

The Quiet War[]

The initial months of the Second Intercontinental War were marked by a massive propaganda effort by both sides, but very few armed engagements. Those that did happen happened at sea. Simerica's new fleet managed to hold off enemy strike forces, but there were doubts about its ability to repel a full scale invasion fleet.

Allied Invasion of Sulani (Operation Counterstrike)[]

Image 2021-12-22 030500

The aftermath of a Simerican missile strike during the Second Intercontinental War (~2041, Sulani)

Status Quo (2041 - 2043)[]

For three years, the lines did not move. While fierce fighting continued in the skies above Sulani and even Simerica itself, and intense naval warfare saw the SSS Scolar Visari become something of a boogeyman to the British and American Navies. During this time, however, Windenburg itself was rarely threatened by Allied forces, heavily defended by the most elite of Simerica's forces. As a result, Visari continued to live comfortably in his palace.

Visari vows: Simerica belongs to the Simericans (June 6th, 2044)

Allied Invasion of Simerica (Operation Archangel II)[]

On June 6th, 2044, the United States, United Kingdom, France and Canada executed mass naval landings at several beach-heads across the Simerican coast. Scolar Visari vowed on public broadcast that the Simericans would "smite the invaders with the wrath of God." Despite heavy resistance from Simerican forces, the Praetorian Guard and what was left of the Blackshirts, the Allies managed to secure beach-heads at Willow Creek, San Myshuno, and several points east and west of Windenburg.

The Tide Turns (Operation Firestorm)[]

Final Victory[]

On April 30th, 2045, Scolar Visari issued a public letter to the Allied High Command, stating that they had been defeated beyond any comparable margin, and their forces had been utterly and completely decimated by the SDF. He offered them a peace of Status Quo Antibellum, the Simerican State would create an administration in Southern Sulani while Northern Sulani would remain independent. On May 5th, the Allies reluctantly agreed, and a peace deal was soon signed.

This news was met by intense euphoria from the Simerican population, who now followed Visari unquestionably. He had brought them the victory he had promised. The enemies of the regime, however, were never more suppressed. Visari declared that for one year, the country was in celebration of its triumph.

Postwar (May 6th, 2045 - December 25th, 2046)[]

Death of Alice Visari[]

On October 7th, 2045, Alice Visari, the reclusive First Lady of the Simerican Republic died, leaving Scolar Visari widowed. Her funeral was held privately, and her remains interred at an undisclosed location. The Autarch did not appear publicly for several months following this.

Visari first re-appeared to the public in a video public statement, congratulating his son Julius in March of 2046 on being married to Simerican Actress Sara Osborn.

Marriage to Alexandra Clayton[]

Visari surprised everyone on April 7th, 2046 when he announced to the world he had married Alexandra Clayton, a Simerican model and businesswoman. Clayton was seventeen years Visari's junior. Alexandra moved into the Autarch's Palace in late April, and was immediately a much more present First Lady than Alice. She appeared on Simerican talk shows regularly, made trips around the country, and was a vocal advocate for charity. She began to be loved by the people. Even those that despised Scolar Visari behind closed doors still loved Alexandra.

It seemed to be no surprise when, just a few months after their marriage, Alexandra was rumored to be pregnant. The two confirmed the pregnancy in a rare interview in October of that year, and confirmed they were having a boy. Tiberian Visari was born on February 10th, 2047.

Scolar Visari is crowned Emperor of Simerica (Winterfest 2046)

Coronation[]

On Christmas Eve, 2046, the Simerican Senate published in concordance with the SDF High Command a proclamation that Scolar Visari had proven himself beyond that of just a President or an Autarch. He had demonstrated, according to them, an ability unlike any other to lead, and must be given the power worthy of such a person. They invited him to be coronated on Winterfest as the first Emperor of the Simerican Empire. Visari agreed.

Scolar adopted the Latin moniker of Scolarvs Avgvstvs Visaricvs, setting the standard for all Simerican Emperors following him to also take honorary Latin titles.

Simerican Golden Era[]

Visari appears during the opening of the 2054 Simerican National Basketball Championship. Visari attended the annual games, held in the Scolarian Amphitheater in Windenburg, nearly every year until his death.

The decades following the Simerican victory in the Second Intercontinental War saw a mass reconstruction across the country, generating a booming economy. Visari went in full drive, planning five year plans in all aspects of the Simerican economy in order to bring about a totally functioning Autarchy state.

Illness[]
