Sarah Mae "Sally" Hustev was the wife of Kirsten Straight and one of the adoptive mothers of Tristan and Jeanette Straight. Sally lives in Riverview.

She is also one of the grandmothers to Dawn Straight, Minty Straight, and Audrey Shaw.

Appearance[]

Sally wears a similar outfit to the one she wore in her teens except her sweater is a darker colored purple.

Early Life[]

Not much is known about Sally's early life except that she's adopted, worked as a babysitter and was born and raised in Riverview.

Being Adopted[]

As a baby, her parents perished in a bad car accident. Sally was consequently adopted into the loving arms of Alice and Edgar Hustev. While she has no memory of her biological parents, she still feels lucky to have been placed into such a loving home. This would circumstance consequently aided her in her decision to adopt a child of her own later on in life.

When Sally was 7, her parents adopted her younger sister, Ginny.

Meeting Kirsten[]

Sally worked as a babysitter during her teens, and as it turns out, she happened to live next-door to Kirsten. She began to babysit Kirsten's younger sisters and pretty soon, they were like a second family to her.

High School[]

In high school, Sally would often babysit for the Straight Family. This is, of course, where she met Kirsten, her future wife. The two dated for almost all of high school. They broke up and Sally briefly dated Malinda Grisby (nee O'Neal). However, they quickly broke things off and she reconciled with Kirsten after realizing they truly loved each other.

Young Adulthood[]

Right out of high school, Sally and Kirsten married and moved into a small two-bedroom house together. Sally started working in the Medicine Career as an organ donor

Adoption[]

Sally and her wife knew they wanted to start a family, despite being a bit young. Although the adoption agency initially hesitated on letting such a young couple adopt, they decided to let them after a good home interview. Kirsten and Sally were now the parents of a baby boy, who they named Tristan Straight.

Adulthood[]

Things were going stellar in Sally's life. She had recently gotten a promotion, and her wife had thrown her a surprise birthday party. Sally and Kirsten had also gained a pure reputation, due to the strong foundation of their marriage. The two knew they were ready to have another kid. They adopted a baby girl, named Jeanette.

Tension began to arise in the house, as a now grade-school age Jeanette was getting along horribly with Kirsten. As Jeanette aged, her relationship with Kirsten worsened and she favored Sally. This began to take a toll on her marriage. The two sought marriage counseling and resolved their issues. Sally did her best not to favor Jeanette.

Elder Years[]

Jeanette, now 18, moved to La Fiesta Tech to pursue a degree. While she still had a bad relationship with Kirsten, Justine had announced her engagement to Duane. At the wedding, it was also discovered that Starr was pregnant! Kirsten and Sally were going to be grandparents! The couple later had a baby girl, named Dawn.

Sally and Kirsten were enjoying their retirement, although her contact with Jeanette was limited due to her tumultuous relationship with Kirsten. By the time Dawn was about to turn 2, and Jeanette had entered her junior year of college, Kirsten had sadly passed away from old age, leaving her in an empty house. Sally continued to work hard at her job as a trauma surgeon.

However, around 4 years later, Sally got back out there despite her old age. She had a short fling with her ex-girlfriend, Malinda. But one day, she met Laura, a recently divorced woman. The two hit it off and soon began dating. Laura had never been with a woman before, and had certainly never expected to, but was swept off her feet; the two were quickly head-over-heels for each other.

Sally continued working, and the birth of her second granddaughter, Minty, followed. Shortly after, Sally passed away from old age. She was survived by her two children, and three granddchildren.
