Mortimer Goth was a very successful Sim in SimNation. After becoming a Power Broker he joined the political career and quickly rose through the ranks to become Sunset Valley's Leader of the Free World. After he retired he lived the remainder of his life in Dragon Valley.
Childhood[]
Mortimer had a relatively quiet childhood and didn't do a whole lot with his rapidly aging parents. He spent a lot of time with friends Bella Bachelor, Kaylynn Langerak, Miraj Alvi, and Malcolm Landgraab. Mortimer became a well-known sim in Sunset Valley, making over thirty acquaintances before he hit his teen years.
Teen Years[]
Mortimer continued to make friends throughout his teen years, and reached level six of the charisma skill by simply socializing with citizens and friends. He dated Kaylynn throughout his teen years and they went to prom together. Gunther taught Mortimer how to drive.
Young Adult[]
Mortimer's good grades helped him grow into a successful young adult and he joined the business career the day after graduation. Kaylynn discovered she was pregnant and the couple quietly eloped at city hall to avoid suspicion of the gossipy townsfolk. A baby boy, Hector, was born soon after. Mortimer didn't pay much attention to his son due to his ambitious and workaholic traits and this caused problems in Mortimer and Kaylynn's young marriage. Feeling emotionally abandoned by her husband Kaylynn filed for divorce and moved out of the Goth Mansion with her toddler son. Despite the divorce Mortimer and Kaylynn were remained good friends and often took Hector to stores and restaurants together. Mortimer continued to rise up the business ladder, making a very large amount of money in the process. He wanted to remarry Kaylyn, but she refused to discuss the idea with him.
As Mortimer approached Adulthood, Cornelia started pressuring him to marry once more and to start a family. By this time Gunther has since passed away and Cornelia was getting pretty old herself. Mortimer decided to take his old friend Bella Bachelor out to the museum and the pair had an instant romantic connection. The two became a couple, but Mortimer was hesitant to marry because his last marriage fizzled out so quickly. He decided to continue to pursue his career and eventually reached the top! Bella became a gifted writer and joined the writer career track. Despite her fist set of books flopping, she continued with her writing and her sports books caught on. Impressed by the amount of money Bella was making, Cornelia started to write a book but unfortunately died before she could complete it. After Cornelia's death Mortimer decided to sell his family home and moved to a new large house in the middle of town (where the library once was). The decision to demolish the library to build a new mansion was met with disgust from the townsfolk, although Mortimer made up for it by building a new library in a nearby location.
Now at the top of his career, and Bella making good money on her own the pair decided to finally get married after many years together. The got married in a beautiful white church with many of the townsfolk in attendance. Also invited were his son and Kaylynn, who had since married Malcolm Landgraab. Bella learned of her pregnancy soon after the wedding and subsequently gave birth to a little girl, Amelia. Both Mortimer and Bella aged to adulthood the day she was born.
Adulthood[]
While suffering from a midlife crisis Mortimer decided to quit his very high paying job as a Power Broker and started at the bottom of the political career. Money wasn't a problem for the Goth's, but Mortimer wasn't looking forward to having to start at the bottom again. His relationship with Bella started to drop (like it had with Kaylyn), but this time Mortimer caught himself and changed his ways and devoted himself to his wife and his job. While sight-seeing with Kaylynn and Hector, Kaylynn suffered a massive heart-attack and dropped dead on the spot, and Mortimer took Hector into his home. Hector and Bella didn't get along, and during his teen years tormented her with many pranks. It was due to these pranks (and Mortimer lack of discipline to Hector) that Bella asked Mortimer for a divorce as she couldn't live with Hector anymore. The divorce was ultimately called off after Hector was told to stop pulling pranks.
Mortimer had troubles with his weight during the middle of his adult stage, but took an interest in athletics and was able to slim down. He eventually reached the top of the athletic skill before he became an elder.
At this point Amelia had grown into a teen, Hector a young adult and Bella and Mortimer were close to being elders, and had accumulated a very large fortune for themselves. Mortimer had finally reached the top of the political career, becoming Sunset Valley's Leader of the Free World. To celebrate, Mortimer and Bella had woohoo and this resulted in her being pregnant with her second child! Bella and Mortimer (both on the literal last day of adulthood) were shocked by the news but welcomed a baby boy, Alexander, into the family soon after. Because of the late-life pregnancy, Bella turned into an elder two days after Mortimer. Old enough to be this baby's grandparents, Mortimer and Bella were a little afraid to be raising a baby again, but made fine parents nonetheless. Mortimer retired from his job as the Leader of the Free World and decided to move the family to Dragon Valley.
Move to Dragon Valley and Elderhood[]
The elderly Mortimer and now elder Bella decided to move to Dragon Valley to get a fresh start. The move, however, proved to be disastrous for the family, as faulty wiring in the kitchen caused a fire that took the lives of two of Mortimer's children. Hector and Amelia lost their lives and a devastated Mortimer and Bella were forced to bury the young sims in the Dragon Valley cemetery. No funerals were held because Mortimer didn't know anyone in town who would come. The tragic deaths of Hector and Amelia caused Mortimer to reinvent himself as a full-time father to baby Alexander, and when he grew to be a toddler, Mortimer taught him how to walk.
Mortimer decided to join the business career again in order to keep his mind of the deaths of his children, and quickly rose through the ranks once again. He slowly started making friends with people in Dragon Valley even found a dragon egg! The dragon egg hatched and Mortimer had a lot of fun with his new red dragon. Mortimer started pulling many pranks on Bella, including setting her clothes on fire. This infuriated Bella due to the fact that Hector and Amelia died due to fire, and Bella couldn't believe that Mortimer would be so insensitive. The stresses of that, along with the fact that there was a fire almost every day in the dining room because of the poorly built fireplace took a toll on Bella and Mortimer's relationship, and she asked him for a divorce. This divorce went further than the first attempt, with Bella even deciding on which house to live in once it went through, but in the end the Goth's realized how much they loved each other and called it off. Mortimer reached level seven of the business career before he finally died of old age. Bella died a few weeks later, after Alexander aged to a young adult.

Trivia[]
- Mortimer is one of the most successful sims I have ever played. He reached the top of two careers, and maxed out the athletic and charisma skills.
- Mortimer's first wife was Kaylynn Langerak. This is different than most of my stories where Mortimer usually married Bella Bachelor fist, then eventually divorces her and married someone else.
- Like most time I play him, Mortimer was divorced at least once.
- I very much contemplated divorcing the Goth's (especially the second time as elders) because I found myself bored with their story. In the end I decided to keep them together.
- Mortimer's Young Adult/Adult outfit is based on the one he wears in The Sims 4
- In Sunset Valley, Mortimer had 27 friends.
- Mortimer died with over 195 thousand lifetime points.
- Mortimer got hit by a meteor twice; once as a young adult in Sunset Valley, once as an elder in Dragon Valley.
