Lawrence Gallagher is a Sim who lives alone. His family is large and consists of his parents, Leroy and Gladys, his sister Sylvia, and his two children, Dennis and Karissa. The mother of his children is his ex-wife, Maggie Gallagher.
Lawrence seems to have a short temper, especially when it comes to his daughter growing up. He doesn't like the idea of Karissa dating and when he learns that she's pregnant, he kicks her out. However, this action turns on him because it leads to Maggie divorcing and kicking him out. It's also possible that it leaves a strain on his relationship with the rest of his family
Life History[edit | edit source]
Background[edit | edit source]
As with most Sims, not much is known about Lawrence's past, other than he is the twin brother to Sylvia Gallagher, and the son of Leroy and Gladys Gallagher. However, it is known that he meets Maggie sometime while he's in high school. Although, their relationship is a little too close because Maggie has his child while they are still in high school. Despite this added difficulty, he stays with Maggie and helps raise their new son, Dennis. Lawrence eventually marries Maggie and moves in with her and Dennis.
The Sims 4[edit | edit source]
Lawrence, Maggie, and Dennis move into Bargain Bend in Willow Creek. Lawrence begins working as an Assistant Dishwasher in the Culinary career while raising Dennis at the same time. Eventually, Lawrence and Maggie have a second child together, a daughter named Karissa. As Karissa grows up, Lawrence and Maggie notice how eager she is to grow up, unlike the much older Dennis. As a result, he and Maggie adopt Barney to help subsidize Karissa's thoughts. However, Barney's adoption doesn't seem to work because Karissa still wants to grow up.
One day, Lawrence overhears his daughter ask someone on a date to the XP Mont. Finding it suspicious, Lawrence follows Karissa to the experimental food restaurant where he secretly spies on her and her date, Jared Parker. Near the end, he witnesses Jared kisses Karissa. So far, Lawrence keeps the secret to himself.
Eventually, Lawrence, along with Maggie, learn about Karissa's relationship with Jared from Karissa herself. Lawrence and Maggie both say they already knew and yell at Karissa. Lawrence tells her that she will break up with Jared immediately, but Karissa just demands independence before storming off. The next day, Lawrence finally meets Jared, However, when he is rude to Jared, Karissa yells at him. After dinner, when Karissa doesn't listen to Maggie, Lawrence yells at Karissa again, stating he's had it. This causes Karissa to get even more upset with him.
On Spooky Day, Lawrence dresses up as pizza delivery man. Along with Maggie, he shows his costume to Karissa before they leave for their party. He and Maggie stay out all night and when they come home, they are unaware of the party that Karissa threw. Several days later, Lawrence plans on hosting an anniversary party for his parents. As such, he cooks the dinner and bakes the dessert before greeting his family. The evening after his parents' anniversary party, Lawrence goes out on a dinner to the XP Mont with Maggie and Karissa. Karissa says she has something to tell him and Maggie, but she forgets what it is, leaving Lawrence confused.
Eventually, Lawrence, along with Maggie, learn that Karissa is pregnant the next morning. Lawrence reacts with ferocity. Maggie attempts to quell his anger, but Lawrence rants on how Karissa should've been smarter because they weren't at her age, causing Maggie to agree with him. As a result of Karissa's pregnancy, Lawrence kicks her out. The next evening, Lawrence meets Jared's parents, James and Joanna Parker. James tells him and Maggie that Karissa is staying with them before Lawrence cuts James off. Lawrence then explains that he and Maggie have agreed to never allow Karissa into their home again. However, Maggie remains silent on the subject. In either case, Joanna decides there's nothing else to discuss and she leaves with James.
The meeting with the Parkers causes Lawrence and Maggie to argue nonstop. On Harvestfest, Lawrence is the only one in his family not to get a text from Karissa, leaving the implication that the relationship with the rest of his family is now strained. Lawrence's arguing with Maggie culminates into Maggie filing for divorce. Maggie also kicks Lawrence out. By the end, Karissa refuses to return home at her mother's request because of Lawrence and Jared blames him more than he does Maggie.
