In The Sims 3, Jonathan is an eligible bachelor living alone in Bridgeport. A little over halfway into young adulthood, he already went fairly far in the business career. He lives alone in a large, two-bedroom apartment, but has a very close relationship with his family. He's best friends with his parents, Elita and Ignazio, and brother, Isaac. He has yet to meet future wife, Caridad, who lives merely around the corner from him. His appearance in The Sims 3 is significantly different from his appearance in the other two games. He's thinner and in better shape than in the other games, but his eventual weight problems is foreshadowed by his couch-potato trait. He also has a darker skin tone than he did in the two previous games. He wears a suit like he did in The Sims.
Outside of his family, he doesn't have too many friends around town. However, he is friends with co-worker Barry Tenderlove, and is the ex-boyfriend of Katelyn Missoni. Him being a workaholic is confused by some as being anti-social. Not only is he not friends with many residents of the neighborhood, but also has met many people in Bridgeport and none of his memories show him going to any of the public hotspots. Although more than satisfied with the direction of his career, he secretly yearns for something more. The only thing is, he doesn't know what that one thing is.
Life leading up to The Sims[]
In The Sims, Jonathan begins as the newest member of Neighborhood 1, along with his wife, Caridad, and daughter, Elise. Despite his wife's misgivings, he wanted to move to the suburbs for his daughter, who he felt would have a better childhood outside of the City. He's very far into the Business career, already the CEO of a local company. He has a very close relationship his daughter and wife, and understand their daughter much better than Caridad. He understand her wishes to have her own identity, and not to be one of the heiresses that live through their parents for their entire life. He's very supportive of his daughter, and encourages her to do what she wants to do with her life, and make a success of herself.
He has light skin, black hair, and is quite husky. He, like his wife, is close with the Burbs, especially Brad Burb. But other than that, he doesn't share the social skills of his wife and daughter. He is much less of a town-celebrity than the rest of his family, and seems more invested with his work than his town. Despite this, he loves his wife and child more than anything, and would quit his job and give up his money for them in a heartbeat.
Life leading up to The Sims 2[]
By the time the storyline has caught up to The Sims 2 , Jonathan has just recently passed away. Many new family members were introduced to Jonathan, like his two fraternal twins, Zachary and Cordelia, grandchildren Jason, Percy, and Mariah, brother Isaac, sister-in-law Stephanie, nephew Jordan, who has a wife Geena, and a daughter Jada. Based on his family photos, he was very close with his brother, children, and grandchildren until his death. He was survived wife, Caridad, who now lives alone in their mansion. His appearance is very similar his appearance in The Sims. He's still heavy-set, has lighter skin, and brown eyes. But he is not wearing the iconic suits he wore in both The Sims and The Sims 3.
The continuity error of Jonathan's skin tone is due to an error by the creator. The inconsistency of his eye color is yet another error by the creator.
Jonathan's personality likely doesn't correctly reflect his astrological sign.
According to the picture of Jonathan's death in the gallery, he didn't complete his lifetime wish - which is inaccurate since he did indeed have over §100,000, and house worth more than §100,000
