Hal Capp is the second child and only son of Goneril and Albany Capp. He lives with his parents and three sisters in Veronaville.

Like his older sister Miranda, Hal would like to get out of his family's crowded home as soon as possible. Unlike Miranda, he finds it much better to be a good kid (if a smart-mouthed one) while he's there. He does very well in school, and wants to go into science, like his uncle Kent. He is on good terms with his parents and cousins, but gets along poorly with his sisters, especially Desdemona.

Most of Hal's time is spent either studying or hanging out with his longtime friend Bottom Summerdream.
