Gerda White (née Holtoy) was the wife of Kay White, the mother of Ozama White, and the stepmother of Snow White and Rose Scarlet.

Biography

Weeks 01-09

Gerda works as the maid at the White household, working for Kay White. Over time, Gerda falls in love with Kay. However, Gerda eventually learns that Kay already has a girlfriend; Rachel. Jealous and enraged by this, Gerda decides to hire someone codenamed "The Huntsman" to slip Kay a potion which makes him break up with Rachel. At this window of opportunity, Gerda successfully seduces Kay, and their steady relationship evolves into a marriage. However, Kay's daughter and Gerda's stepdaughter Snow kills Kay while cursed by Baba Yaga, leaving a distraught Gerda vowing revenge against Snow White. Gerda buys a magic mirror to contact Kay.

Weeks 10-13

To get revenge on Snow White, Gerda visits her associate "The Huntsman", who gives her a poisoned apple. Gerda manages to trick her stepdaughter into eating the apple, which seemingly kills her. However, sensing that her sister has fallen prey to dark magic, Rose arrives and threatens to kill Gerda for killing Snow. Rose summons fire magic, causing Gerda to panic and throw herself - along with Rose - into the swimming pool, where Gerda drowns Rose and kills her. When Gerda emerges from the pool, she sees that Snow's body is gone, and realizes that she is still alive. Gerda turns to Glinda for help, and Glinda suggests that Gerda contact the spirit of Oscar Diggs for help. Gerda does so, summoning Oscar's spirit in the magic mirror. However, Oscar takes advantage of the situation and escapes the mirror, draining Gerda's soul and killing her.

Trivia

• Gerda alludes to Dorothy Gale from the story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
  • Her maiden name "Gerda Holtoy" is an anagram of "Dorothy Gale".
  • When Gerda kills someone, that person's sister - who is a witch - arrives and threatens Gerda, until she kills the witch with water. Afterwards, Gerda meets Glinda, as well as Oscar Diggs.
• She also alludes to Gerda from the fairytale The Snow Queen, and the queen from the fairytale Snow White.
