Desmond Ansari-Wolff is a Sim living in the newly renovated town of Newcrest. He lives alone at Thyme Capsule, one of the two apartment complexes within the Bridgeview neighborhood. At the start of the game, Desmond is fifteen days away from becoming an Adult.
A recent university graduate, Desmond is unemployed when first played and has few relationships, though he is best friends with his brother Bennet Ansari-Wolff. Starting out with seven skill points in Mixology and five in Cooking, Desmond is known for moonlighting at the adjacent bar, The Watering Hole, and is well equipped to formally begin a career as a mixologist. He has already completed the first stage of his Master Mixologist Aspiration, in addition to meeting the Mixology skill level required by the second stage.
Desmond carries a copy of Mixology Vol. 3: The Mixologist's Bible, a portable bar, and a signed headshot of his brother in his inventory. He possesses a Culinary Arts degree from Foxbury Institute.
