Birth & workEdit
Bet Nance was born in 1816 to Sally and Jack Nance. Being a working-class, Victorian family, Bet was educated until the age of 7, and was then sent to work in a factory where she would work in the laundrette. There, Bet met Will Trickers, a 14-year-old. Bet knew from that day forward, she would love Will for the rest of her life.
From the age of 14, Bet was encouraged by Will to become a prostitute to make money. At this point, Will was 21. Bet was taught by an older woman, named Mary, who taught Bet the ins and outs of prostitution. Bet was unhappy with this line of work, but had no other choice as Will soon became violent toward her.
At age 21, Bet found out she could time travel from her mother, Sally, who told her that every woman in the Nance family history can time-travel. Bet didn't believe her at first, partly because she didn't understand what time-travelling was, but after strenuous, long hours of Sally explaining to Bet what she meant. Bet tried it. And transported herself back to the point where she met Will, and made herself ignore him. Bet returned to the present day and lived happily, still working at the factory, but not being a prostitute.
