Earl E. DeMise ( /ɜrrl iː dɪˈmaɪz/) is a pre-made deceased Sim in Strangetown from The Sims 2. Earl is Olive Specter's ex-fiancée. According to her memory, Earl is Olive's first love as well as the first fiancée. Earl was engaged to Olive, but he left her at the altar on the wedding day, which can be seen in the Specter family photo album. He then died soon after.
Earl died young due to electrocution, and the circumstances surrounding his death are often thought of as a murder done by Olive for breaking her heart. Earl's grave can be found in the cemetery on Olive's lot. Earl has a brother named Tim Lee, who also mysteriously died on Olive's lot due to electrocution, not long after Earl's death.
His name, Earl E. DeMise, is a pun of "early demise," which points that Earl dies young as well. In Dragon Valley, there's a gravestone named "Reserved for Earl E. Demise," with its description "What's this about Easter Eggs?".
According to Earl's age data in SimPE, he was 26 days away from being an elder when he died. As with many pre-made Sims in Strangetown, the "Skintone" part of his Sim DNA is missing.
