Dominique Soto (née Umeh[1]) is a pre-made townie Sim included with The Sims 4: My Wedding Stories. She is married to Camille Soto.
Dominique is an elder who has lived 118 days by the start of the game. She has the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration and is unemployed. She has five skill points in cooking, three points in dancing, two points in handiness and eight points in painting.
Dominique was an overall secondary focus of the trailer for My Wedding Stories[2] and is featured on the cover of the game pack. In the trailer, Dominique was secretly harboring feelings for her best friend Camille who was engaged to an unnamed male sim. During the wedding preparations, the couple couldn't agree on multiple things, including the cake and flowers, and Dominique was watching from the sidelines as she was brought in for moral support. On the night of the bachelor(ette) party, Camille snuck away after her soon-to-be husband passed out from drinking too much and Dominique followed her. She comforted the bride-to-be and finally shared her romantic feelings for her, which were reciprocated. In the day of the wedding, Camille called off the wedding and broke things off with her fiancé, and began to date Dominique. Camille and Dominique then got married, and they remained friends with Camille's ex. Eventually, the Soto couple grew old together and had a vow renewal ceremony.
According to her family bio, she spends her days in the village square painting portraits and landscapes.

Grapevine Gossip[]
Dominique Soto, like other citizens of Tartosa, has a special interaction called Grapevine Gossip that reveals tidbits of lore relating to the Sim, their ancestry, or the town's history. Depending on your relationship level with this Sim, different secrets will be revealed.
Uniquely, Dominique will reveal her favourite spots to paint at all over Tartosa as your friendship with her progresses. She has the most secrets to share at the highest relationship tier, as opposed to her wife Camille.
0-32 Relationship Points[]
- "Sure I know all of the best locations for picture-perfect paintings. But I'm not about to just share all of my secrets with anyone, am I. Great art must be experienced through adventure!"
- "No, I'm not originally from Tartosa. Camille and I met here, became friends here, and were eventually married here. We always knew that when we retired we would once again be... here."
33-65 Relationship Points[]
- "I do love dancing. Any sort really, but slow dancing is by far my favorite. What's more romantic than twirling on a dance floor with the one you love, moving with grace and charm... it makes me want to get married all over again!"
- "I've lived all over the world, actually. Windenburg was lovely, and probably my second favorite. Tartosa is where I'll live out the rest of my days, though. If you don't live in your favorite locale, are you even living?"
- "Oh, I had the opportunity to meet Igor Klobučar when he was in Porto Luminoso installing his sculpture. Artist to artist! Can you imagine? What a charming Sim. Did you know he used to be a hatmaker for llamas? Hated it. You have to chase your dreams, even if it does lead you away from llamas from time to time."
- "I do love a good book, you know. A nice cozy mystery or, better still, a romantic story set against the backdrop of a historical moment. I've been trying to get Camille to write one about the area for years. A historical fiction, drama'd up to be fun."
- "I don't think about the family feud between the Markovics and the Laurents much. It's such a lovely area. Why doesn't everyone try and get along for once? Let bygones be bygones. If I felt like holding a grudge, I still wouldn't be speaking with one of my dearest friends after she critiqued my last art installation!"
- "Faiz is a poetic soul. I do hope he finds love soon. He's too sweet a rose to go unnoticed, don't you think?"
- "What is my favorite book? Could I even pick one?! The Chronicles of Rodiek by Dominick VanDeesel is very good as is A Game of Groans by Greg Q.Q. Vartin. I could go on all day, really, but I won't."
66-100 Relationship Points[]
- "Maybe it's obvious, but Hideaway Falls is one of the most beautiful spots in Tartosa. When Camille and I met, we spent most of our time there. That was my favorite painting subject at the time. Well, after her, of course."
- "Down the coast in Terra Amorosa, there is this darling grove of trees. A lot of Sims who come here to get married take pictures there, but it's beautiful for paintings as well. Just imagine what some of those old trees have witnessed in days gone by. If I stand still enough, I sometimes swear I can hear the trees communicating. But that's silly, isn't it? I know, I sound like an overly whimsical artist, don't I?"
- "If you want to paint something colorful, try the marina. The boats are splendidly vibrant and who doesn't love a good seagull?"
- "My favorite spot to paint? Right here in Porto Luminoso. The people, the sea, the painted buildings. Nature is lovely, but this is life as it's meant to be experienced: right in the thick of things!"
- "Have you noticed the hill on the side of Porto Luminoso? You can get the most beautiful top down views of the village from there. A new perspective does wonders to shake things up if you're feeling a bit stuck."
- "I can't tell you how many times I've painted the Lover's Tree. From every angle, mind you! As intimate as I am with it as a subject, I can't help but feel it does have a connection with the Sims who come to visit—even if the rumors aren't true."
- "You want to find some of the most beautiful, underappreciated views in Porto Luminoso? Follow the trails behind the buildings. Mazes, beaches, overlooks - all of it gorgeous. Wait for the sunlight to hit them just right, and you have a special setting for your art."
- "About a decade ago, I spent a lot of time painting Thebe Estate. Camille was fascinated by its history and it inspired something in me as well. Arnessa was always kind enough to bring tea out to me as I worked. A spot of black tea really gets the mind percolating."
- "Sometimes I paint Sims and not scenes. After Camille, Faiz is my favorite. He has such a light in his eyes. It's the exuberance of youth, I imagine, though there's something unique about Faiz that I truly admire."
Trivia[]
- One of the promotional material for the pack was a wedding invitation that was shared online and sent to some youtubers.[1]
- Dominique and Camille were given a "wedding webpage" at the EA website which served as a promotional material.[3]
- Dominique's original surname was Umeh, as it was stated in the wedding invitation, so is likely that she took Camille´s surname after the wedding
