Dollhouses are fun objects found in The Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 that one or more Sims can play with. It is essentially the same in all games; the primary differences being which life stages that can play with them and in which ways.
As a loose rule of thumb (except in The Sims), child, toddler, and infant[TS4] Sims can play with it at all times, while teens and older can only use it by joining a child, toddler, or infant[TS4]. Besides playing with them, the games (except The Sims) also allow Sims to smash them.
In The Sims 2 and The Sims 4, Sims can also smash the dollhouse and break it. In The Sims 2 toddlers will cry if they see a dollhouse being smashed, and in The Sims 4 children and toddlers will get a sad moodlet. If The Sims 4: Parenthood is installed, caregivers with level 9 in the parenting skill can punish the culprit after witnessing it.

Model houses (The Sims 3: Ambitions)[]
Though not strictly speaking dollhouses since they're fully enclosed and can't be played with, two miniature model buildings are available in The Sims 3: Ambitions:
- Mon Petite Chateau (Buydebug, §150)
- Paranormal Memento (Reach level 10 of the ghost hunter career, then capture 25 spirits, counting from 0 spirits at the point of reaching level 10)
The Sims 4[]
Infant, toddler, and child Sims can play with them. (If The Sims 4: Growing Together is installed, toddlers must first earn the "Grab" and "Sit Up" milestones).
Playing with a dollhouse in The Sims 4 raises the creativity skill for children and the imagination skill for toddlers.
Sims can also smash the dollhouse and break it. Children and toddlers will get a sad moodlet if they see it be smashed. If The Sims 4: Parenthood is installed, caregivers with level 9 in the parenting skill can punish the culprit after witnessing the smashing.
If The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature is installed, fairies of later life stages can walk around in them.
