Darlene Bunch a pre-made playable Sim residing in Sunset Valley, the world shipped with The Sims 3. She lives with her parents, Jack and Judy, and her three older siblings, Ethan, Lisa and Arlo on Maywood Drive. She is the youngest of the four Bunch children. She loves her oldest brother Ethan, and they are best friends. According to her biography, she lives to torture her older brother Arlo, whom she dislikes. She is friends with her parents and older sister. It is presumed that she insults Arlo to get more attention from her parents and oldest brother. When the family is first played, she is seven days from becoming a teen.
Darlene's traits are brave, daredevil and unlucky. This implies that when she tries to achieve attention from her parents, it never goes the way she plans it to, and she ends up getting hurt. As described in her biography, she has broken a few of her bones trying to get attention. Although she has the daredevil trait, the absent-minded trait would be suitable for her as well because occasionally, a question mark thought bubble appears over her head while she is doing ordinary day tasks.
Darlene has medium length blonde hair, like her older siblings. Her hair is in pigtails and she has long bangs that cover her eyebrows. She wears a spiceberry colored tank-top shirt, possibly picked out by her mother because spiceberry is Judy's favorite color. She has freckles like her older sister, Lisa. Interestingly enough, her name means "tenderly loved" however she does not get enough attention and love from her parents.
Darlene is one of the few pre-made Sims to have freckles. Lisa Bunch, Claire Ursine, Deidre Littler and Tiara Angelista are a few pre-made Sims who also have freckles.
Darlene is likely based off Cindy Brady from the TV series The Brady Bunch, with both of them having their hair in curls.
