Crispin Black

Crispin Black is a premade Sim first introduced as an NPC Urb in the console version of The Urbz: Sims in the City. In that game, he is a resident of Urbzville and is the owner of Crispin's Cauldron, an up-and-coming art gallery in The Foundry.

He was reintroduced as a playable character in The Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies, where he resides in the world of Nordhaven with his adoptive child, Ollie Mark. There, they live in the Urbane Housesharers household along with their roommate, Cannonball Coleman, who previously appeared in the handheld version of The Urbz: Sims in the City.

Biography

In The Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies, Crispin Black resides in the world of Nordhaven, where he works as Color Theory Critic in the Painter career. He lives in a converted foundry warehouse with his adoptive child, Ollie Mark, as well as their shared roommate, Cannonball Coleman, as a member of the Urbane Housesharers household.

At the beginning of the game, Crispin is friends with Ollie but is only acquainted with Cannonball, though Ollie and Cannonball are friends with each other. Outside of his household, Crispin is acquainted with Felix Hoffman.

The following two pieces of Nordhaven Noise refer to Crispin:

• "I've seen Crispin hang out near that dark alley in Iverstad. I wonder what's up with that."
• "I heard that Crispin used to run an art gallery in another city...then he set his eyes on buying the Konst Modern when he moved here."

If asked about Ollie's parents, Crispin will have the following to say:

• "Why of course, I found baby Ollie in a silver conch I fished up from the deep seas. It's mad what can come from the water. Take care of your oceans or they'll give you kids."
• "… Yeah I know the birth parents. I still talk with the mother from time to time, I keep her updated on how Ollie is doing and what not."
• "Jayde didn't think their fling would lead to anything, just some fun...few years later Skid shows up at my door asking if I could look after his child. Never saw myself as the fatherly type before, but that's my kid now."

Crispin has a unique interaction with other Sims. He can critique other Sims' outfit and, depending on if he approves of their outfit or not, either give them a +1 inspired moodlet or a +1 embarrassed moodlet. Cripsin also has the "Likes Mayonnaise" hidden trait.

Biography

In the console version of The Urbz: Sims in the City, Crispin Black is an Urb residing in The Foundry in Urbzville.

Crispin owns an art gallery known as Crispin's Cauldron, one of the most promising up-and-coming galleries in The Foundry. It specializes in post-modern sculpture and industrial metal-smithing. Visitors are always welcome as long as they know to keep their fingers away from the art for risk of losing appendages entirely!

When you complete job levels at the Cauldron, Crispin will teach the player's Urb the social moves Buzz, Lounge Lure, and Paparazzi Pop.
