Cringe

Cringe is a trait introduced in The Sims 4: For Rent. It conflicts with the proper and wise traits.

"Sims who are obnoxiously oblivious and oftentimes met with polarizing reactions. Cringe Sims can be socially unaware of their surroundings at times, but have an adorable enthusiasm for life."

Attributes

• Cringe Sims can "Spout Memes" and "Tell Worst Pun Imaginable".
  • Elders without the trait will become bored +3 if they get memes spouted at and other Sims will become playful +2.

• They can do a BlicBlok dance or "Embrace the Cringe". Nearby Sims (who don't also have the cringe trait) get a +2 embarrassed moodlet if they see the dance.
  • Cringe Sims in families that are not played can often be seen doing the BlicBlok dance.
• They learn the comedy, mischief, and video gaming skills faster.
• Cringe elders will become playful +2 when socializing or doing activities considered socializing such as playing chess.
• Cringe Sims cannot die from laughter.

• When a cringe Sim spouts memes, their thought bubbles and animations will produce recreations of real life memes using in-universe characters such as Llama Doge, Imagine from SpongeBob SquarePants, a voidcritter Meduso making a Surprised Pikachu face, and a rage comic spectre.
• BlicBlok dancing may be a reference to the real life social media app TikTok and the viral dance videos people make there.
• If a Sim is given the Cringe trait, the preview will have them posing doing the well known dance move, the dab.
