Cornell Riffin is a pre-made child Sim residing in Appaloosa Plains, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 3: Pets. He lives with his two siblings, Calvin and Chantrelle and their dog Ditz. When the game is first played, he is 3 days away from aging up into a teen.
Cornell's parents, Clement and Clarissa, were killed in a fire when he was younger; as a result, he and Chantrelle have been raised by their older brother Calvin. Calvin has been struggling to raise Cornell well as he accepts bets and likes to take risks. It is up to the player whether Cornell will grow out of this or not.
Cornell is best friends forever with Calvin, best friends with Chantrelle and Ditz, good friends with the Marshall family, friends with the Miller family and disliked by Hetty Lionheart. He starts off with no skills and is a C grade student in elementary school. He carries a book and a teddy bear in his inventory.

- Cornell is two days older than Chantrelle, which, technically, is impossible because a pregnancy lasts three days.
