Childish

Childish is a lifestyle trait in The Sims 3. It conflicts with the dislikes children trait. It is first available for teens.

Childish Sims find it difficult to 'act their age'. They love playing with children's toys, see things through the eyes of a child and need to be constantly entertained.

Attributes[]

They can play with a select few child toys and have a great time with them.
- Things childish Sims can play with, which non-childish adult Sims can't: Toy box, dollhouse.
- Things childish adult Sims cannot play with: Activity table, jungle gym, slide, spring rider, treehouse, designated sandpit objects, costume chest, lemonade sales stand.
They will want to have fun more often than other Sims.
They will become bored by conversations and repeated social interactions more easily.
They will cheer when they have seen a ghost. (Possibly shared with supernatural fans^[TS3:SN])
Provides a bonus to Sims writing in the children's genre.
They prefer to watch the kids channel (KidZ Zone) on the television.
They can be “accuse(d) of childish behavior" by other Sims, which may greatly decrease the relationship between the two.

Unlocked interactions[]

Fish in swimming pools. (Shared with insane Sims.)
- While fishing in the swimming pool, a childish Sim can gain points in the fishing skill. Although fishing conditions in swimming pools are poor, it is possible to catch fish in it.
They Sims have the "Play with Mirror" option when initiated upon a mirror.
They can slide down the rails of a spiral staircase.
They have the "play tag" option when interacting with other Sims.

Player notes[]

They get the "Cuddle Time" moodlet from sleeping with a teddy bear in their inventory (usually exclusive to young Sims).
They will "Have a Blast" for 5 hours, like what toddlers and children have.
They can read children's books, normally meant for parents to read with toddlers in order to teach them a skill.
They will interact with swings more often than other Sims.
They will autonomously use the "Scare" interaction on other Sims, much like mean spirited and evil Sims.
Sims may gain this trait if they "Wish for Youth" from Leon's Fountain of Youth.^[Store]
They can get environmental boosts from being surrounded by children's toys.^{[confirmation needed]}
They will more often do the "Heckle" interaction on other Sims. ^[TS3ST]
