Catherine Best is a pre-made playable Sim residing in Starlight Shores, the world shipped with The Sims 3: Showtime. She lives with her large family, consisting of her father-in-law, Paul, her husband, Evan, and their four children, Mandy, Calvin, Abigail and Maria. At the start of the game, she is soon to realize that she is pregnant with her and Evan's fifth child. Raising the unborn baby and the other kids would fulfill her lifetime wish. She is friends with everyone in her family and enemies with the Gooder family.
Catherine is 12 days away from becoming an elder and has not learned any skills. Her hair is red but all her children's hair is either brown or blonde. This could possibly mean that she dyes her hair, even though the game considers all hair color valid to inherit, even when dyed, which explains why the baby may be born with red hair.
