Cat person is a lifestyle trait featured in The Sims 3: Pets. It conflicts with Animal Lover, Dog Person, and Equestrian. In The Sims 3 Pets for console, it also conflicts with Fur Allergy.
Sims with the Cat Person trait are happiest when they are surrounded by multitudes of felines.

- A cat person build relationships with cats much faster than other Sims.
- Training in traits with cats is much quicker for cat people.
- Cat people prefer to socialize with cats over other Sims and will also raise the fun and social bars quicker.
- A death of a cat will affect the cat person in a more profound way.
Player notes[]
- Sims with the cat person trait may get a negative moodlet from seeing a cat's ghost.
- Sims with the cat person trait will get a stronger "Mourning" moodlet from the death of a cat in the household, being -60 in comparison to the usual -40 that the death of a pet gives.
- When interacting with cats, the cat person gains a positive 10+ moodlet called "Cat Playtime".
- When a Sim has the cat person trait, the first lifetime wish is "The Cat Herder".
