Calvin Riffin is a pre-made young adult Sim residing in Appaloosa Plains, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 3: Pets. He lives with his younger siblings Cornell and Chantrelle and their dog Ditz. When the household is first played, he is 20 days away from aging up into an adult.
Calvin's parents, Clement and Clarissa, died in a fire when he was a teen; as a result he grew a maturity above his age, as he had to take care of his younger siblings. He is now learning new things about himself that he did not know previously, such as the many skills he has. He is raising his siblings with the help of his neighbors and good friends, the Miller family, who watch his steps closely.
Calvin is best friends forever with Cornell and Chantrelle, good friends with the Millers, friends with Ditz and the Marshall family and disliked by Hetty Lionheart. He has two points in the charisma skill and has mastered the writing skill and is employed as a Burial Specialist in the mausoleum part-time job, although his skills and traits are better suited for either journalism or the culinary arts. Calvin carries a book and laptop in his inventory.
