Callia Maebey is a pre-made Sim who appears in The Sims 4. While initially only appearing in a render for the main menu, she was later made available for download on the Gallery by Maxis.[1]
History[]
- According to Sims Community[2], Callia has gained notoriety among Simmers due to her creepy expression on the main menu. While probably not meant to be scary, players have compared her wide-eyed stare and her huge smile to Sims who are possessed.
- On April 26, 2022, Callia appeared on almost every module on the main menu and on The Sims' social pages as a joke. She was also uploaded to the Gallery this day.[3]
- In the reveal trailer for High School Years, Calia appears as a happy ghost that photobombs Ash Harjo in the Photo booth.
- In the trailer, Calia wears a basegame outfit instead of her usual cardigan from The Sims 4: Get to Work.
- Callia is featured on a television channel that was introduced in Lovestruck, where she is the star of a reality dating show.
- On March 27, 2025, life similuation game InZOI announced their early access release on X. The Sims replied to the post with a render of Callia holding the Welcome wagon fruitcake.[4]
Trivia[]
- Callia's appearance is near identical to Jordan Mayer, a Sim used for the marketing of City Living. They both have the same hairstyle, eye color, facial structure, body shape, and skin color.
- Her name is a play on "Call Me Maybe", a 2011 hit by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen. This is most likely because Callia holds a mobile phone when she appears on the main menu.
