Biography[]
Bob is a young adult, and is 28 days away from becoming an adult. He has the Master Chef aspiration, and works in the culinary career at level 3 (caterer). He has three skill points in both cooking and mixology, and one in video gaming.
Bob and Eliza's marriage is an unhappy one, as said in their family bio. Their traits are fairly conflicting, and the two appear to sleep in separate bedrooms, although their in-game starting relationship is about average.
He is the protagonist of the official Stay Weirder trailer for The Sims 4, which describes him as "the most least interesting Sim in the world", and portrays him as a loser and a henpecked husband.

Bob's profile picture on the Rate My Biz
- Favorite untattoo shop: I'm not the kind of guy who likes to stand out. Many years ago, with too much maple syrup in my system, I got a stack of flapjacks inked on my arm and I've regretted it ever since. 5Ever Tattoos finally put an end to my discomfort with their incredible tattoo removal services. 10/10 recommend! (5 stars for 5Ever Tattoos)
- Me Day: I was planning to visit Art's Art with my wife, but unfortunately she had other plans come up. So I went by myself! They tried to offer me free admission (something about "Customer Appreciation Day"?) but I didn't think I deserved it, so I paid anyway. I'll definitely be back—hopefully with Eliza this time! (5 stars for Art's Art)
- Ink makes the heart grow fonder: I visited Branche Tattoo after a particularly tense fight with my wife, Eliza. I was hoping to get a tattoo in her honor to help smooth things over. I wanted a simple heart with her name over the top. Somehow, the employees talked me into getting a whole sleeve. I'm not sure I like it, but Eliza actually does. She told me it's refreshing to see me show a little edge for a change. (3 stars for Branche Tattoo)

- Talented sales Sims: I went into Clay & Play looking for a plant pot. But the employees wouldn't stop telling me how great the tea sets were. And vases. And sculptures. And incense burners. I ended up spending hundreds of Simoleons, and when I got home my wife wasn't too pleased. I know I'm a persuadable guy—but this felt extreme. I think I'll stay away in the future... (1 star for Clay & Play)
- Sugar rush!: Visiting Lolli Shop made me feel like... well, like a kid in a candy shop! Second to maple syrup and pancakes, candy is one of my absolute favorite foods. I especially loved the cotton candy—in fact, I ate six of them! Can't wait to come back and show this place to my wife. (4 stars for Lolli Shop)
- Dream come true: With a last name like Pancakes, it's no secret that I'm a fan of flapjacks. What most people don't realize is that actually, I'm crazy about the entire cake food group. That's why I was so excited to visit Risky Bisque and make my very own cake stand. Now I can proudly serve my culinary creations on hand-made ceramics, just like they've always deserved. (5 stars for Risky Bisque)

Biography[]
Prior to the release of The Sims 4: High School Years, The Sims released promotional images of base-game adult and young adult Sims as teens,[1] which included Bob.
He likes the color brown, retro music, and cooking, and dislikes mischief. Furthermore, Bob is not romantically attracted to neither men nor women, is exploring romantically, and is willing to mess around with both men and women. This might mean that Bob is possibly aromantic, but this is also set by default for all Sims.
Bob can be downloaded from Maxis' page on the Gallery from the Copperdale Class of '00 household with other teen pre-made sims.

Trivia[]
- Bob may be based partially on Bob Newbie who appears usually in the previous franchise, as both are named Bob, and married to women whose names are diminutives of Elizabeth. Furthermore, Bob Pancakes' untidy habits, as well as his physique and beard, are very similar to Bob Newbie's in the original The Sims, while his hair, skin and eye color is very similar to Bob Newbie's in The Sims 2 (console) and The Sims 2: Pets (console).
- On November 25, 2024, The Sims launched its collaboration with the animated video app Frever. Bob is used in some of the promotional materials for the collaboration. The Frever version of Bob's skin tone is warmer and more saturated.[2]
