SimPrograms is not so much a Sims site as it is a personal fan site about Maxis games and The Sims series[1]. SimPrograms was started by Jud Hudson on August 18, 2000 and has since provided frequent updates on any and all news related to The Sims series. Originally it started as a personal blog for 3rd party applications for The Sims, but has since then grown to become its own community. The main focus of SimPrograms is still programs for The Sims series.

At one time they released a few podcasts, but were unable to make it a regular update on the site[2]. Sporeprograms is a sister-site and can be found at http://www.sporeprograms.com/

SimPrograms run on WordPress software.

On April 19, 2012 Jud Hudson, founder of SimPrograms, stepped down.[3] His reason was the fact that he has become more and more distant with the franchise. He handed the site over to The Black Scorpion.
