Trivia
- Despite the family bio and household name hinting that the three members are close, they are only acquaintances.
- They share their names and appearances with three Sims from the MySims series: Travis, Summer, and Liberty. The name of their home, Garden Essence, is a reference to a game mechanic from many installments in the MySims franchise.
- Unlike most Sims in The Sims 4, the members of the BFF household are not on the first day of their life stage when first played. All three are 23 days away from becoming adults, whereas other young adults have 24 days before their next birthday. This also happens with the Spencer-Kim-Lewis family, and it is unknown why this is the case.
- They may be a spoof of the main characters from the American 1970s sitcom, Three's Company. They may also be a reference to the characters of famous Archie Comics from the 1950s because of the household's description and their resemblance to the characters, with Travis resembling Archie, Summer being depicted as Betty, and Liberty as Veronica.
