Arty Loste is one of the pre-made, yet unplayable deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Strangetown, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. He was the son of Goshem and Vera, the husband of Daisy Loste (née Simnitch), and the father of Kristen. Though deceased when the game begins, he can be seen in the family tree of his daughter.
Arty's full name sounds like "Already Lost". He died while Kristen was a child, leaving her mother to take care of Kristen by herself. According to Arty's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond before it turned grey. His age data indicates that, when he died, he had 15 days left before dying from old age. Arty's facial structure is very similar, if not identical to that of Michael Bachelor, and Skip Broke.
