Archery Range
Archery ranges
What is the...point...of a campground without a little archery range? Sims can't resist bending a bow and letting one fly in this classic test of skill and patience, and it's a perfect way for kids to learn about military history! Let them pretend they're Robin Hood or William Tell or an English longbowman...while you pretend not to laugh all the way to the bank!

Sims on vacation can have fun by trying their hand at archery at archery ranges, and may win some prize tokens if they shoot well enough. An archery range is only one tile wide, so several of them can be (and often are) placed side-by-side. Therefore, several Sims can shoot at once, even though a range can only be used by one Sim at a time. While using archery ranges, Sims with a higher body skill are usually more accurate.

What is better than shooting a simple target with a bow and arrow? The obvious answer is to add swinging blades and a dummy with an apple on its head! This high-tech archery contraption (by medieval standards) even includes a torch to set fire to your arrows! So pull back the bow strings, let the arrows fly, and see if you can beat the high scores on the range!

The archery range returns in The Sims 3 Store as premium content. It is available for 500 SimPoints, and is also part of The Duke of Bows Renaissance Faire set.

Sims can choose to "Practice Archery" or to "Challenge the Board". Each option have 4 difficulty levels: Basic Shot, Quick Shot, Challenge Shot, and Extreme Shot.

High scores are kept for each individual range, similar to driving ranges[TS3:ST] and pinball machines.[Store]

Very strong performance by a Sim at the archery range, can give the Eagle Eye and/or Marksman moodlets that give +20 each for 4 hours.
