Angela Pleasant is a cheerful pre-made teenage girl who appears as a pre-made Sim in The Sims 2 and The Sims 4. While her parents, Daniel and Mary-Sue, appear on their honeymoon in The Sims 3 Store world Sunlit Tides, Angela and her younger twin sister Lilith have not yet been conceived, but can be born in game if the player decides.

Biography

Life leading up to The Sims 2

Angela lives in Pleasantview with her parents, Mary-Sue and Daniel Pleasant, and twin sister Lilith. She and Lucy Burb are cousins. When the family is first played, the twins are 10 days away from becoming adults. Angela is voiced by Thessaly Lerner, when she becomes an adult, she will be voiced by Gerri Lawlor.

Mary-Sue's memories indicate that Angela is the older of the Pleasant twins, though that is not explicitly stated.

Angela is dating Dustin Broke, but they haven't had their first kiss yet. Both her memories and Dustin's indicate they were childhood friends. This could be the one reason they are together, although they don't seem to have much in common. When Angela comes home from school, she will bring her boyfriend Dustin with her. It may be her chance to make or break love, although some players prefer to break them up, as they seem to be completely different.

Angela is also the granddaughter of Jeff and Diane Pleasant (her father's parents) and Herb and Coral Oldie (her mother's parents). Jeff and Diane passed away when Angela and her sister were toddlers, but she has no memory of that.

Angela is considered the "good twin", and is described as "patient" and "dutiful". She's a good student, but has not been taught to study. She starts with three Cooking points, and is the only family member who has any Cooking skill at all. She has a 20/20 relationship with each of her parents, and their relationships with her are at the same level.

She wears a green floral sundress with tan flip-flops, while Lilith wears a gothic dress with black boots and a spiked choker with spiked wrists. Like their father, both have green eyes and red hair, which they wear pulled back in a platinum-colored barrette. This is only possible because they were made in Create a Sim; with normal genetic mixing, Mary-Sue's black hair and brown eyes would be dominant.

Angela's room is a bright shade of pink which some may consider "too-cute", while Lilith's room is "dark", with a dark red carpet and stone walls. Angela has a computer, whereas Lilith does not. This could be a sign that the family favored Angela, or it could just mean that Lilith didn't want one. That depends on how the player chooses to play it.

Angela's bedroom things (not counting the computer) are cheaper than Lilith's, usually priced at §120-200. Again, what this means depends on how the player chooses to play it. However, it does appear that each twin was allowed to decorate her room as she chose.

If the twins are not exact opposites, they don't seem to be far from it. While they have the same genetics (and even the same genetic personality) and wear the same hairstyle (their father's red hair pulled back in a silver clip), they otherwise seem to be completely opposite, with Angela being the playful, active, neat and nicest twin, though both of them have the same outgoing points. Angela's eyebrows are also slightly thicker than Lilith's.

While Angela has a positive (if not exactly good) relationship with her parents, Lilith's relationship with them is negative. Angela's name was probably chosen because it is derived from Angel, as she is considered the "little angel" of the family, while Lilith is the name of a demon in Jewish mythology. There seem to be some gaps in Angela's biography.

Angela was apparently treated with more affection as a child. The twins' memories show that Angela was potty-trained, and taught to walk and talk, while Lilith was not. Angela is also the only pre-made teen in Pleasantview who grew up well every time (Lilith always grew up badly, and both Dirk and Dustin grew up badly during the transition from child to teen).

Angela and Lilith are enemies at the start of the game. When the player first plays the Pleasant family, they will usually get into a fight, unless the player diverts them away from it.

The back-story for the twins' enmity for one another is something that players can fill in as they choose.

Life leading up to The Sims 4

In this timeline, older versions of Lilith and Angela are present in The Sims 4: Discover University as residents of Britechester.

Angela is a young adult, and is 26 days away from becoming an adult. She has the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration, and is enrolled in her first term of the Art History degree at the University of Britechester. She has four skill points in cooking, two skill points in writing and five skill points in painting.

Her relationship with her sister is strained, with them being only Acquaintances. Despite this, both Lilith and Angela have the same level of Painting skill and possibly an affinity for art, which seems to mean they still share some common ground and are at least a little bit alike.

Alternate versions

An official Maxis recreation of Angela and her family was uploaded to the The Sims 4 Gallery on February 22, 2019, marking the 19th anniversary of The Sims. In this timeline, Angela has a "C" grade instead of "B" and is friends with Lilith instead of rivals. She is also friends with both of her parents. Unlike The Sims 2, she is not acquainted with Dustin Broke, and if they meet, they could not date until Angela ages into a young adult. Although she is neat in The Sims 4, she is slightly sloppy in The Sims 2. Both Angela and Lilith will turn into young adults in 12 days. She also carries incomplete homework in her inventory and has no skills.
