Alvin Larson is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Bluewater Village, the shopping district sub-neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Open for Business. He was the husband of Elise and the father of Jodie and Jason.
Alvin is named Jimmy when viewing his character file and checking Object Data (OBJD). It is possible that he was originally meant to be named Jimmy, but was renamed to Alvin. The translation description for his given name mentions that it was copied from Live.package. For the last name, it mentions that it was copied from B001_Neighborhood.package.
Alvin has personality points and interests, something not every ancestral Sim has. He is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. Alvin has the Family aspiration and the Aries zodiac sign. As far as personality, he is very outgoing, rather active, and somewhat neat, but he is quite serious and rather grouchy.
According to Alvin's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was black before it turned gray. According to his age data, he had 15 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Like several other pre-made deceased Sims, Alvin has a highly customized face. While the facial features are difficult to pin down, some of them, such as the ears, seem to use the 1st and 26th Maxis face templates in Create a Sim.
