Alastair Baldwin is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the husband of Kimberly, the father of Sylvester, the paternal grandfather of Benjamin, and the paternal great-grandfather of Sofia and Marcus. He is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave.

Alastair has the Romance aspiration and the Pisces zodiac sign. As far as personality, He is quite active and nice and a little bit neat, but he is quite shy and serious.

According to Alastair's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was black before it turned gray. According to his age data, he had 19 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Alastair's facial structure is identical to the 3rd Maxis face template in Create a Sim, except for the ever-so-slightly customized upper lip.

Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, Alastair only has Mystery Sim memories. However, he has memories of Sylvester's birth, as well as his grandson Benjamin getting engaged and married. He has a strange oddity where he and his wife, if resurrected, will be listed as family. Because of this, they won't be able to get married and will treat each other like blood relatives. The same situation occurs with many of Belladonna Cove's ancestors. This can be easily fixed in SimPE or with the InSimenator by adding the love flag to their relationship.
