Bertram Bedlington is a pre-made playable Sim who lives in Appaloosa Plains, the world shipped with The Sims 3: Pets. He lives with his wife Patricia and their dog Buckley. He is the father of his wife's first child, who is born a day after the game starts. When the household is first played, he is 6 days away from aging up into an adult.
Bertram is contributing to the locals' distrust of the new faces moving into the town because of his careless attitude towards the environment. Bertram and his wife's snobby personalities certainly don't help improve their former city-slicker image either, but Bertram isn't bothered about what the older families in town think of his attitude and chooses to ignore their angry glances.
Bertram is best friends with Buckley, good friends with Gavin Pinkerton, friends with his NPC mother Gloria Bedlington, acquaintances with his boss and disliked by Hetty Lionheart. He has nine skill points in handiness, three points in logic and one in charisma and is employed as a Fan in the music career; his career performance is low, however, and will end up getting fired if he does not improve it.
